Visited this year's exhibition and it did not disappoint! It always fills me with delight, wonder and exasperation! Because if the huge eclectic range of art, photographs, pottery and constructions their is something for everyone! What may delight me may not move you and what seems like "emperor's new clothes" to me may be just what you like! Have a look at the photos I've taken and then go to the exhibition and find have your own wonderful and surprising experience! It's free and fun!
Great gallery with contemporary art : Spacious and usually not very crowded, so can really enjoy it at your own pace. Exhibitions often change, meaning that almost every month you can find something interesting. Another plus that it’s free
I recommend this Gallery as a great set of spaces that easily permit one to replenish the soul. The location alone, just moments from busy roads, is surprisingly quiet, and unfussed. There is paid on road car parking nearby. Bicycle parking for up to 2 on solitary pole to right of entrance. Semi redundant bike parking on Bells Lane usually blocked by vehicles, but in a vulnerable hidden spot with little or no security.
Top gallery among with IMMA for the contemporary Irish art. Must visit for any art lovers.
The design of the whole gallery is simple which is perfect as it doesn't overwhelm you with detailed floors and walls, it let's you focus on the art it's self. I've never been to a gallery like this
Vera Klute's exhibit The Plunge was a really good one. It was spacious with just enough light. All her works in different mediums were placed really well with just enough light or dimly little area.
This is a great gallery, showing mainly contemporary art. It's annual exhibition is open to all and very much worth a visit. The cafe serves great coffee and food. The shop stocks good quality crafts.
One of the finest collections of contemporary art by emerging artists you can find in Dublin, Ireland or elsewhere
Good gallery but found one or two of the staff members at the front of house to be a little up themselves and very dismissive. The annual show is worth checking out and the education officer is pretty active. It's located close to other galleries and the museums so worth checking out if you're doing the rounds.
Excellent art gallery in the centre of Dublin, just off St Stevens green. The gallery has several large exhibition space, and is very spacious. Admission is free. The exhibitions are renewed every month or two. A "must see" is the annual RHA show of RHA members work in the summer. There is also an art shop, and a coffee shop at the front of the gallery. The RHA hold art talks and other events regularly - see the website for details.
