Very nice museum and really nice staff. My daughter was scared the entire visit. There are very interesting facts to read in the first part of the visit and also another part with history of Ireland, very interesting. I would love to see some more areas for kids as there is only one room with cartoons and movie characters. The Mirror maze is funny! It’s also very well located in city center and plenty of public transport to get there
A good 1st stop for our Saturday afternoon in Dublin. Friendly staff gave us 10% off for entry and we got a photo souvenir and a Batman logo magnet upon departure. Recommend a visit...not far from Ashton Quay... Dublin castle a short walk too...
Visited today with my daughter, the lady on reception I think her name was Imelda she was so lovely and friendly. We both had lots of fun my daughter loved all the Irish history part as she is studying that in school. On the way out she got a wax model of her hand and the lady that done was was so friendly and nice. Excellent visit today. Thank you.
Nice place to visit in Dublin. Good time to go is about 11am as there is not many people inside. I love mirror maze and scary room. Fully recomend.
We had two hours to spare and it wasn’t busy when we got there so we did the tour in an hour and a half. It was fun and there was a wide variety of displays covering icons, animation characters and a brief history of Ireland. At the end we made a wax model of our hand for an additional cost but a great souvenir for the day. I was worried my son wouldn’t recognise enough to enjoy it but there was enough to suit his age. There were stairs to climb up and down and I’m not sure if an alternative was available so if mobility/stairs are an issue, you’d need to check first. Overall we enjoyed our visit but you couldn’t spend the whole day here. You would want to combine it with another activity in the day to really appreciate it. I did buy the tickets in advance but on our visit there was no need to. Staff were very nice. They offered to take a photo for an additional charge as well but we’re not pushy when we turned them down for this. Other than our souvenir hand, we did not buy anything from the gift shop on this occasion, although we did get a small prize from a vending machine game.
Lots of irish notables to look at. Loved the hall of mirrors. The Easter rising I enjoyed. There were a few vikings. The northern Ireland treaty. Some singers, elvis, phillo, Bowie etc a nice pub scene with all our glorious writers. Got a photo with my hero W.B Yeats : a fairytale section but my favourite was the horror walk. I was on my own and the people in front of me were gone through so I had it to myself. The mind is a wonderful thing lol I genuinely felt nervous at times. So if you like that kind of thing you'll enjoy it. Bit pricey at almost 17 euro but it was a good way to kill time while I was waiting on someone. I'd go again just to be scared. There were little kids following on in the horror section and I personally wouldn't have let them in there but that's just a personal opinion and it's none of my business what parents show their kids 8/10
Great place to have some fun it was absolutely stunning ..it has 3 floors for you to explore. You can take as much time as you like , make sure you don't rush it at the end you can make your own Wax Hand Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
I’ve been to 3-4 wax museums in my life and this one was the worst among them, not many statues and most of them dont even look like the real version. I wouldn’t go if the time is limited there are many places to see in Dublin which would be a better experienceVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
This was a lot of fun. It starts with an educational area with a bunch of small things to play/interact with. You then go through a mirror maze and end up in a room with some classic celebrities. It’s a lot of fun posing with the wax figures and the horror area was better/ more realistic than most haunted housesVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Staff very friendly, great mix of history and fun. Ideal with younge kids. € a bit much if your kids don't qualify for free entry
