National Print Museum
"The National Print Museum champions print and its impact on the world. It is a unique museum. The main collection is not behind glass or rope, but is instead an example of a working collection. The collection consists of fully-operational letterpress printing equipment, displayed and organised like a traditional print shop. Letterpress is a form of relief printing - one of the greatest inventions know to mankind.Visitors have the opportunity to explore the craft of printing in Ireland, view the nation's most historic printed document, and there is an opportunity to roll up their own sleeves and get a little inky! A truly immersive experience...Free admission."

This museum is a gem with an incredible collection of presses and knowledgeable staff who take time to explain the historical significance of the presses and processes relating to Irish history and more. Also have amazing letterpress, lino limited additions, broadsides, affordable cards, books and unique hand printed items for sale! The children's exhibit was also something parents would love! Enjoyed the lovely Cafe serving great food and coffee/tea/smoothies. So happy my trip to Dublin ended with the Print Museum experience
Already my second time at the National Print Museum and I'm planning my third visit soon! The workers there are so friendly and knowledgeable. Even people who don't care for printing come to appreciate it after visiting the museum. We even tried our hand at printing! And after, we finished the visit with the Print Museum's lovely café. If you like learning new things, coffee or tea and a good pastry, you should definitely visit!
Some very old type setting and presses on display here. I had a press like one of these in the late sixty’s. In high school printshop. When I graduated they were already obsolete. I had fun walking though and telling my grandson old school printing and type setting. No cost to get in. But donations are accepted.
The museum exhibits fascinating printing machinery, the staff help you immerse into the the printing world telling you stories and showing how things are done. A really cute little place definitely worth a visit!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Had an absolutely wonderful time with my family, came away with a lovely souvenir and loads of fun knowledge about printing. It was informative in an easy and fun way, and the curator was really engaging! I would definitely go back again, and recommend to anyone
We had a wonderful experience at this museum. It’s small but very interesting and big enough and you’re welcomed warmly when walking in. The videos at the machines are a great addition. Would definitely recommend!
We went there two times because we only had a limited amount of time the first time but it was so nice and the people were so welcoming that we decided to go a second time. Each time we got a personal tour and a demonstration and a lot of cool fun facts.. loved it and would definitely recommend visiting! Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait

This museum is truly a special place! I didn't know what to expect, but want to especially commend Ciaran for making the visit memorable. He was extremely knowledgable and very generous in sharing that. That the museum is not only actively protecting this important technology, but working to preserve the knowledge of the master printers that work there is so heartening. The special exhibit on commercial label design in Ireland also did not disappoint! I would visit again and again.
Excellent museum, lovely café. The temporary exhibitions are well curated and the permanent collection of historical machines is great. They offer various courses as well and go the extra mile to answer any questions when visiting!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
