Such a cool museum of Ireland's history with the Vikings. I really enjoyed it as an adult with no kids but I've heard kids really enjoy it too. We only had an hour or so to explore it which was just enough. If you enjoy history, check it out! The tower also offers a nice view of the city and way less busy than other tourist traps.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Great place to learn about the Vikings history of Ireland! It is a good place to go with kids or to spend at least 2 hours in. There are many interactive activities that will make your time better in there. Definitely a lovely activity for a rainy day :!
A Great Presentation of people, interactive displays, history and humor. I LOVED the Story told in the Theater of someone growing up long ago, the story was sweet and sad, as you flew through the town, while the lad goes through is life, describing his interaction with people and his family. Someone did a really, great job with this short, heart-felt story. Really a beautiful job with it all. Any age would really love to see this exhibit. This should be a 'must see' item, not a 'if we have time'. Very Cool Stuff.
Very fun experience it’s an easy way to learn and have fun as well. The decorations, figures, lighting, sounds and everything was perfect, the information laid out in a very nice detailed order it’s easy to follow up with the events by reading and looking at the objects and figures. Lots of fun interesting ways to deliver the historical events through out the place, I enjoyed it! Also the gift shop was nice! I recommend it for 12+ years old.
The girlfriend and I went to Dublinia and we were NOT disappointed! One of the coolest, most immersive museums I've ever been to. Beautiful, well-represented and fun! This place takes you through the centuries learning about the city of Dublin. Much of what they have is hands-on and perfect for kids and young people. I would go back in a heart beat, informative yet entertaining!
If you are visiting Ireland this is a must see attraction. I am Irish and I love taking visitors here, they are always super impressed with the interactive material, the humour in the staging and the unique way in which the history of Dublin is displayed. There is also an opportunity to climb the tower for fantastic 360 views over Dublin.
A very nice place to interactively learn about history of Dublin. The exhibit is on three floors and its has some interesting features like Viking alphabet or a short movie about the Black Plague days. Definitely go if you want to learn a few things and have a fresh take on history of this amazing city.
Great fun. Allow 1:45 to see it all. Lots of interactive material and lots of reading. Some cool excavated pieces as well. And lots of recreated rooms, outfits and stands. At the end you can visit the tower which gives a nice view of the Church and the city.
Really informative look at the history of Dublin from the Viking age, through the middle ages and beyond. You could easily spend between 2,5 and 3 hours here especially if you read all the information and watch all the videos. Cost 14€ and worth it !
We stopped in about an hour before closing so we had to move quickly to make it through the entire museum. It was interesting — a view of Dublin from Viking times until now. It was a fun way to spend the afternoon.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
