Rooms are nice I've stayed a few times. Always clean and tidy! The pool is warm and the jacuzzi too. The sauna is unfortunately colder than it should be but steam room is really hot. Gym is small but functional! Small amount of beer and ale on offer at the bar and a selection of 2 flavours of either crisps or nuts... Which is poor.

Stayed in April 18 one night which met the need. Room was a reasonable size with a lovely river view which was sadly obscured by failed double-glazing. It was also quite chilly. Sound insulation was poor, next room were very audible, just talking at normal pitch. Breakfast was good but marred by piped radio around the dining room. Staff were efficient but not especially friendly. I am a member of the gym, the showers of which are often cold. The bar food is above ordinary. The hotel could be great, given the position, but it feels as though no one really cares about some of the details and that there's penny-pinching.

Clean comfortable with lots of nice personal touches. Very nice peaceful location in the town centre that provides free parking. Staff are friendly and helpful. Only down side was pool taken over by a swimming coach shouting instructions constantly at kids who were learn to swim. Surely there is a leisure centre somewhere local instead of the small pool for hotel resistance!

The riverside is in a gŕeat location. It has a leisure centre and free parking. We had a suite which was fantastic. It's also dog friendly.

Had a 9 year olds party here. Staff were great. Pool was nice and clean. Good facilities. Nice food too. Very good value
