Great shop with excellent customer service, very welcoming and knowledgeable staff. I got the TV I wanted at a great price but after a week of viewing at home I could see the TV had some dirty screen effect issues, I took it back and they were more than happy to exchange the TV for me even though they said the picture was within spec. Replacement TV is perfect, very happy customer. Thank you!

Wow, what an exoerience! So, my mum wanted to take advantage of the Easter offer which was on Samsung Tv's and soundbars (A £200 cashback offer). She had researched it all and knew what she wanted so we headed to John Lewis. We were greeted by an overly bouncy sales rep from Samsung (not employed by JL I should say) who ascertained we were buyers and led us to the till. She directed the JL store assistant on everything, and it was all going nicely until she found out the sound bar my mum wanted was out of stock. She suggested an alternative which my mum didn't want and which we explained wouldn't work in the space the TV was going (she suggested curved, with a flat TV!). I felt she was just after the sale. She then proceeded to tell us that although out of stock; there should have been a delivery yeterday; and she'd find out when they were due in. Then it transpired the bars weren't due until May, after the promotion finished. She kept offering then other soundbar every other sentence. My mum stopped her and asked of she ordered it now, would the deal be upheld... No was the answer as you can't order something which is out of stock. My mum questioned whether they should have it on display and not put a sign on it to say out of stock, and said that RS were just up the road, what was to stop her going there instead? But the slick sales lady had her patter ready for that; it would also be out of stock in RS as it is a regional Samsung warehouse which is used, not a JL or RS one...did mum for the umpteenth time want the curved one? We left. And went to Richer Sounds. Where we had totally the opposite experience. We weren't pounced upon as.soon as we walked through the door, just a cheery "hello", we were free to browse with no pressure. We did need to approach them at the desk, which may put some people off; but received the best customer service when we did. Upon ascertaining what mum wanted they checked their stock. Yes the soundbar was in their warehouse and could be delivered after Easter to mums home for no extra charge. Furthermore, upon working out what TV she wanted they recommended the model below. They explained there was only one small difference in how things were routed to the TV through a box on the more expensive one, but for what mum needed and her set up with cables already on the wall, the £200 cheaper one would be better...tho obviously if she wanted to pay more she could! So they saved her money. In addition to Samsung's own guarantee; they do a 6 year one for £50 I think it was...if you haven't claimed on it at the end of the 6 years; you get your money back. Well that's a no brainer; though I suspect you have to remember to claim it back; so put a note somewhere to remind you to do So! The TV was in stock and we would collect it immediately. They even tried to get her something else free; using the Samsung offer; it cost £200, but then you would get the £200 cashback making it free; unfortunately it wasn't available on that TV, but nice of them to try for us! Sadly the TV wouldn't fit in the car with 3 adults and a child seat. Not a problem though, we could collect Easter Mon. Upon collection Easter Mon, they remembered her, were just as friendly and polite and carried it to the car for her. The soundbar arrived earlier than expected; and she had texts to update her on what time and when so she didn't need to wait in all day. We were all really impressed with the service given, especially in comparison to JL! And I'd have no hesitations in returning to RS for any more electrical needs. NB: This was the RS in Exeter for clarification.

Nice gear, really good prices - could just do with an extra member of staff on duty, as both were tied up at the time of my visit

Even though closed to the public when I went to collect a repaired item my quick phone call resulted in my being I served on the spot in a helpful and polite manner.
