As a Michelin star restaurant was expecting a fabulous meal having visited a few similar restaurants previously.
The plates had chips in the edges which was very surprising and the food was very underwhelming. Having booked the taster menu was expecting some showcase dishes but all were very average.
The views from the restaurant were lovely despite the weather.
Have eaten in much better will not be visiting again.

All I can say is wow! We had the six course taster menu and everything tasted amazing. I called it magic in my mouth ! The skill in the  combination of flavours. The presentation was a work of art.  The service was excellent and very relaxed and friendly . We are already planning our return. Definitely recommend for a fantastic culinary  experience.

Went for a birthday celebration, a few of my family have special dietary requests which were specially adapted. The 6 course taster menu was sublime...art on a plate, with the chefs finishing the dishes off in the restaurant adding to the celebration. You saw their real characters too! The maitre'd James was a character too. Wine was magical! Shame I missed Chef as he was on a family holiday...but my friend is going for her birthday soon. I would definitely recommend booking this restaurant...once eaten, you will always go back! The rooms will be the next to try for me, with dinner. Thanks Team Restaurant James Sommerin!

Food was spectacular as always but the service was disappointing. "Private function room" with sliding door to make private should have the door closed so that noise from room doesn't effect rest of restaurant. Noise was very oppressive. Not the guests fault. Should be closed as a matter of course. Raised as issue at end of meal and no apology. Food was great, experience was flawed.

Had a lovely lunch here with my husband , friendly helpful staff, beautiful food. A much needed treat. We will visit again.
