Lovely service, great portion sizes for money spent. We were stuffed on leaving. They even gave us option to take home our leftovers. Upon paying we received a 'thank you' after dinner chocolate each. I highly recommend and will come again.
Lovely restaurant with friendly, attentive staff. Food was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Meat was beautifully tender.
Incredibly fast service, attentive and friendly staff, well priced authentic curries, extensive food menu, posh looking and feeling establishment. What more can you ask for? Would 100% reccomend for dining in. No fruity ciders or fruity gins but they have a nice lager and original flavour spirits selection as well as a big wine menu.
Service was good and quick, however the food was pretty terrible. Saag paneer masala was topped with a mountain of mozzarella cheese, which was just really strange and tasted awful. It became a rock hard inedible mound as it cooled. Butter chicken wasn’t like any other butter chicken I’ve ever eaten. It was very sweet and tasted more like a pasanda. Edible but not good at all. Maybe we just chose some wrong dishes. Poppadoms were decent though - generous with their dips. Vegetarian options: Decent amount of options. Not good in our experience.
Friendly staff. Relaxed calm Atmosphere. Great food and good value what more could you ask for apart from more poppadoms! Me and my fiance went here for an evening meal on a Saturday evening, it was relaxed and quiet when we went and we were served very quickly and our order came out quick too. The staff were welcoming and friendly making sure we had everything we needed! The food was hot and tasty and they had a good variety to choose from. Starters, mains, sides and a drinks menu too. Toilets downstairs.Wheelchair and pushchairs would find entrance a squeeze but could be possible if sat near the front. Outdoor seating. Don't take bookings just arrive whenever..
We come here every time we're in Hay and have never been disappointed. The food is freshly cooked and always very tasty. Tonight our 1.5 year old had an off evening and was not a happy guest. The owner was incredibly kind and attentive with our little one and I just wanted to say thank you for making us feel so welcome and well looked after. The staff in general deserve mentioning for their friendliness and courtesy.
About the only food place available in the area that wasn't either cram packed or closed. We had a pleasant experience overall, the staff were friendly but didn't pester you every five seconds. The food was really good, it was nice and quiet, and very reasonably priced. Only one star less because there was quite a long wait period for food even though there were barely any customers in.
Fabulous people!! Amazing food! It was quite busy and got my takeaway super quick, 100%%%% recommend
DON'T EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE ANY ALLERGY. I have a nut allergy I would rate no stars. Three of us went to this restaurant. As soon as we sat down we said that one of us has a nut allergy and stated it was all nuts. The waitor took our order and said that all of our curried what we ordered didn't have nuts in. When the food arrived my curry smelt slightly nutty and creamier than what I would normally get at home. I asked the waitor if it had nuts in and he replied no no nuts. Then just after the manager came over and said that my curry did have almond poweer in. They were very casual and said it was a mistake. And he told the others to 'enjoy' that nut curry while he made one without nuts which I was still reluctant to eat. Luckily I hadn't eaten any of it as I would have gone into a full anaphylaxis shock. The restaurant didn't seem to think this was a big issue, we still had to pay full for our full meal until last minute when he said he'd knock that curry off the bill. If I ate this curry it could have killed me. Awful service and no formal apology.
Lovely food and friendly staff, who took care to ensure that our order was correct before we left. Highly recommended
