Unbelievably slow service.  Regularly waits in excess of 40 minutes even when only a few people in the queue.  It should only take a minute or two to serve each person.   Food quality varies.   Some time excellent some time average.  EDIT Based on owners comments :   Each time i have visited the chips are ready and waiting and there is a whole stock of fish in the warmer, so to try and make out each order is freshly cooked is very disingenuous.    Ive added a picture of last nights food. July 2022Disgusting. We wont be visiting again.  Soggy batter chips that are black,  Still have queues up the street a year later.   No other chip chop is this slow to serve.   Something is inherently wrong.

On my first visit to this chip shop I found the service to be very slow. The chips weren’t great and the fish was poor. Not a good service either. However, I decided to give them another try today which was a Saturday. Their website said that they were open at 5pm on Saturdays. So I turned up at 5.15pm to find the shop in total darkness with signs on the door/window saying they were open at 5pm on Saturdays! That’s the last time I visit this chip shop!

Chips tasted like they were reheated, soggy and powdery potato. Home made burgers clearly weren't, stale buns, sad salad. Friendly staff.Food: 1/5

Popped in at the weekend.  Distinctly underwhelmed by the food - the chips were pale and undercooked and the haddock was very overcooked making it very tough.  On the positive side portion sizes were relatively large,  the prices very reasonable and the staff friendly.

Little trip over from sunny Norfolk. Gotta say, highly impressed with the quality and service we had today. Fish and chips were amazing chicken pie perfect and service was brilliant. Thankyou ladies we will be back someday. If your in the area make sure to pay a visit here. Well worth it

One of the best places, locally for fish and chips, regularly stop there on Friday evenings on the way from Aberystwyth. Usually very quick to have it all ready when we walk in, especially the mozzarella sticks. Always very friendly.Food: 5/5

very delicious fish & chips for takeaway, so it served instantly. you can also eat it on the table they set up outside. as an Asian i don't normally eat that much chips, tho. will buy a separate small portion of chips next time.

The chips were soggy and greasy, worst chips we've had, ended up throwing most away. Fish was tasty but greasy. Staff very friendly and efficient. Would not go back.Food: 3/5
