You get what you pay for at this place. The prices are very cheap for an all you can eat buffet. Good venue for big party as it could hold a lot of people. The decor is a bit dated but it has a good variety of food from Italy pizza to your English roast. The best part of the restaurant has to be its desert area. Here you can get freshly made America style pancakes and there's even an ice cream parlour with a wide range of choices, to create your own ice cream sundaes.
11 months ago I posted a great review but oh my god has the place changed, the staff are no longer smart and friendly and you no longer get greeted at the bottom of the stairs, we had to wait for three others to get shown to a table even though we were the first down. Then the food, or lack of it. The dishes are very limited now, I started with Sunday roast, the mash was powdered water and looked more like wallpaper paste, there was no veg to be had so I ended up with frozen Yorkshire pudding, beef and gravy which was actually ok. Next I tried the American counter which only had chicken nuggets, chips and onion rings, you could order a beef burger but I heard someone already complaining of the lack of flavour. Next I had chicken tikka masala with white rice and buttered naan, The rice was ok, the chicken was very rubbery but nice, the problem was the sauce, it tasted like the sauce you get with spaghetti hoops or cheap tomato sauce. Dessert: the old dessert section is now closed off by drywall and has been moved towards the seating area, the ice cream machine isn't there anymore you can get an ice cream from the pancake counter albeit with a very small amount. They no longer do the ice cream sundaes or have the ingredients to fill pancakes, replacing strawberry mousse with cheap Jam, other desserts include hard scones or half cut chocolate mini rolls. We paid £13.99 each for the pleasure and can honestly say we won't be returning until major changes have occurred. It needs refurbishing, fresh staff and more choices, very very disappointed
I went with a friend to celebrate her birthday and it was incredible. Lots of food, literally. From everywhere. And the people who work there are very nice. Don't forget to try their pancakes: they're incredible. I tried the three chocolates pancake and it was out of this world. I'll go back for sure!!
The food is pretty grim. You gotta find one that had just been made or is hot enough. Its pretty all round bad, but for 6 pounds all you can eat i wouldnt expect more
We've been going for awhile now, as my children liked it. It's been getting worse. After today's visit, we won't be going again! I was told that my children were going to be half price! at the end I was told my daughter would be charged for an adult, she's 11!! and definitely hasn't eaten an adults portion. I'm not really bothered about the money. The quality of food has been getting worse. Only a small choice of desserts. Looks like this place needs investment quick or its likely to close down.
The food was cold and awful. Quality is not a thing here. Over half of the food outlets in this place were shut, so you were left with VERY limited choice for £15 per person! The place looks great from the outside, but once you are in... You can tell you have made a mistake! The chairs are the type you'd expect in a children's dining hall. It feels like everything once you are in has been done for the lowest possible price. We felt it looked great on the outside of the restaurant, but on walking downstairs and seeing the typical crappy toy dispensers, I knew I'd made a mistake. As I say the food was cold, they even served raw chicken to eat?! I didn't believe it either! This is the most damming review I have ever written, please avoid this place in its current form!
All you can eat, literally. Went on Sunday about noon and it wasn't too busy. Plenty of food choices to be had, there is something for everyone. The quality is okay. The key is to take small amounts as by the time you get round and back to your seat, your food could be cooling down quite a bit. Try to sit in the main area not the off chutes as it can be freezing! would be good in summer mind you. Take a jumper. The toilets are up a flight of stairs and its literally like being outside. Ridiculously cold in January. Overall, though, we enjoyed it.
I have been to the buffet before which was previously known as Red Hot Buffet and the quality of food has definitely gone down. Poor selection of food during dinner time. Many live cooking stations weren't operating. Sushi bar was sad and I wouldn't dare to try the raw fish there. Got my noodles burnt at the noodle bar. Prepared food weren't heated properly. It was cold for some and the rice was completely dry and tasteless. Pan cakes were of reasonable standard but that is about it, which made it the highlight of the night I suppose. Overall, standards have gone down and I don't think it is worth the money. Sorry.
I'm naturally a very positive person but my trip here was disappointing at best. Cold food, much of it tasted horrible and they went overboard with the sauces which weren't of high quality either. A lot of the food stations were closed and the noodle bar burnt our noodles so they tasted like bitter carbon. The only thing I liked was the spring rolls and even that's pushing it : friendly staff but they have little else going for them. I felt like I was sat in a run down Vegas casino that was long overdue for a spruce up. So sorry, guys but this place is definitely off my food list now
booked a table for two for my daughters 19th birthday. After being told to wait upstairs for ten minutes we were then told to go downstairs; a sign tells you to wait to be seated although all waiters/waitresses nearby totally ignored us totally and as this was our first visit we weren't sure what we were supposed to do. Eventually after asking what we were supposed to do we were shown to what I would describe as the worst part of the restaurant. No one asked us about reserving and no one seemed interested. A very nice waitress asked us if this was our first visit and then explained the process. This was the only friendly interaction that we had in the whole experience. Food was awful, atmosphere cold and no one seems to smile there or even be interested in how you are enjoying your food. I'm sure they must get paid to keep a straight face because no one smiles there! I was very annoyed that they came round with the food bill while I was away from the table and my daughter said on my return that the waiter was expecting us to pay the bill before we had even had our desert! this was my treat and i don't expect my daughter to feel obliged to pay. Not only that but we both commented on the low temperature of the food and are really hoping that we now don't end up with food poisoning...
