A bit in the middle of nowhere, bit convenient for the university (about a 5-10 minute drive). Rooms are fine, perhaps a little tired, but clean. The staff are friendly. There is plenty of parking. Restaurant/bar is a good size and good for groups staying to meet up.  No gym/pool etc.

The hotel itself is quite run down. The room was clean and tidy, but the room needed a bit of attention to bring it up to standard. The remote didn't work for the TV, the menu and hotel information were tatty and worn, there was no chain on the door and the sink was cracked. The hotel staff were very friendly and attentive. We didn't have breakfast but the buffet did look nice. The location is quite far out of the way, we only stayed there as it is in the middle for both myself and my friend, however there are some nice pubs at restaurants driving distance from the hotel.

Very polite staff. Nice quiet, peaceful ambience.  Never tried food. But plentiful menu. Rooms very tidy although heating bit high for my liking. Overall very good place to stay.

Went along for afternoon tea. Food was good - nice selection of cakes! Service was impeccable, very helpful and accomodating in finding some chopped fruit for our toddler. Easy to get to as well.

Clean bedding comfy mattress good decor clean enough bathroom price ok..but lumpy pillows dust on table tops no armchairs crowded small room no non slip mat for the shower in bath, fire door in corridor propped open to stop it banging as hinge was broken & bar never open..so not great and won't be back
