Enjoyed our stay. My review would be split in two parts: The bar, lobby, gardens and staff were excellent. Hotel has loads of character, food and drinks were great. Five star. However the bedrooms and bathrooms were not even close to a five star experience. Room air con was useless, room was stifling. Bathrooms are at least 15 years old, and there was mould and the toilet wasn't in good condition scratched and dirty. Bedrooms are at best three stars, closer to a two. Overall I would give it four stars as an average. Immediate maintenance and refurbishment of rooms required. I've stayed in more comfortable three star hotels. Hotel could be amazing if investment is made on the bedrooms and bathrooms. Saved by good staff, beautiful gardens and excellent bar lobby and restaurant.
We had a beautiful night away in St Helen’s! The suite we stayed in was absolutely gorgeous and so cosy. The board games were a great touch! We ate dinner in the Italian restaurant, which was very good value and very tasty. They were extremely accommodating to my gluten free needs. Breakfast was also delicious with gluten free options.
Very disappointing for 500 euro a night. Rooms were small and old. The bathroom was smelly. The toilet didn't flush and the tap in the sink was boiling hot. We had noisy neighbours who were at a wedding at the hotel and they woke us several times throughout the night. We didn't enjoy our stay. The food was OK and the staff were pleasant but unfortunately I don't feel that it was worth the money.
Great place to stay. The hotel is maintained very well. The back garden is maintained very well. The surrounding areas are beautiful. The employees are very friendly. I really enjoyed it here. They also have option to host big parties. The only drawback is the location as it is a bit far from the Lucas station.Rooms: 4/5
For: - The ground floor is called the second floor. There are four floors. - Enough electricity to charge a phone. But not a computer - Far far far away from Dublin. - Food at breakfast pretty good. - 5 machines in the gym work. They had 10 machines. - Will make you look back fondly at every other hotel experience. - Have shoe polishing machines for the exclusive use of staff - Guaranteed not to sucome to the temptation of raiding the mini bar. - Has an area outside advertised with signs as 'the secret garden' Against: - Staff seem to have put in place a cunning code of indifference to discourage interaction or custom. - don't provide 5-star basics such as ironing. You need to request a bath robe. - Housekeeping and reception like to play 'your man' in not answering calls. - staff draw inspiration from 1980s instant coffee advert. Decaf coffee is instant. - you cannot put stuff on your room bill unless you go through a special initiation procedure that staff choose not to tell you about during check-in - bookings made long in advance seem to be about double the price of those booked closer to the arrival date.
Really nice day spent at a training session. Beautiful venue and gardens, nice meeting rooms. Would have been 5 stars except for one staff member the rest of the staff were excellent. It's the little things that can make a difference. Highly recommend a visit to this beautiful hotelRooms: 5/5
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Radisson Blu Hotel in Dublin, albeit a bit belatedly. Last July, as I approached my wedding day, I chose to spend my final day as a single woman in the exquisite ambiance of this remarkable hotel. From the moment I stepped through their doors, I was enveloped in a world of impeccable service, thoughtful management, and genuine care. Every member of the Radisson Blu team went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was nothing short of extraordinary. Their attention to detail, from the comfort of the accommodations to the delicious food, surpassed all expectations. Their proactive approach and genuine concern for my well-being left me feeling not only pampered but also profoundly relaxed and rejuvenated on the eve of my wedding day. I can't thank them enough for their exceptional hospitality. To anyone seeking an unforgettable experience in Dublin, I wholeheartedly recommend the Radisson Blu Hotel.
An amazing venue with top notch facilities. The staff were incredibly helpful, the food and drink were amazing and the grounds itself absolutely stunning. Great place to stay and relax.Rooms: 5/5
This is not a 5 Star Hotel . It may have been at one time but the genral ambience and condition of the place as it now stands reminds me of a residential care home. The decor is dated , and the rooms are maintained to a below average standard. Our bathroom had a dirty toilet brush holder ! and the carpets faded and dirty in part. The breakfast was limited in choice and some of the hot food items available were cold ! The room we stayed in was noisy due to loud guests next door and no soundproofing. There was also a gardner hard at work most of the afternoon who was trimming the hedges outside our room ! In all I would rate this a 3 star hotel at most .
I stayed in this hotel for a week. The rooms were specious and comfortable. Overall good hospitality and scenic view. They have a snooker room but it is private. I wish they had more options for leisure. The food is good but has very few vegan options, so I had a tough time. But, if you can get over those shortcomings, its a beautiful property.
