I recently stayed at Mulgrave Lodge and I must say it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The lodge's environment is incredibly clean and well-maintained, which made me feel comfortable and relaxed throughout my stay. The location is also a major plus; it's conveniently situated near key attractions and easy to access to the Lexicon library and bay, making it perfect for exploring the area. What really stood out to me was the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. They were always ready to help with any questions or requests I had, and their welcoming attitude added to the overall positive atmosphere of the lodge. The only thing that they can improve is to provide breakfast.
My experience at Mulgrave lodge was fantastic. I was there with my family and we enjoyed our stay there. The staff were very hospitable and were always quick to respond to requests; the manager, Mina also made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Would recommend to friends.
I recently stayed at Mulgrave lodge and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The staff here were outstanding—friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with any requests I had. The lodge boasts an exceptionally clean and well-kept environment that made me feel right at home. The location is another highlight, the street is quiet; it's perfectly situated near major attractions and offers easy access to all the best sights and activities in the area. 100% recommend this place to my friends.
My stay was an absolute delight. The lodge was inviting and cozy, and with major attractions, trendy bars, and quaint cafes just steps away, I found myself constantly immersed in the vibrant energy of Dublin. What truly sets Mulgrave apart, however, is the exceptional hospitality of the staff. From the moment I checked in, they went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was enjoyable and hassle-free. Whether it was offering insider tips on the best local attractions or organising fun social events for guests, their genuine warmth and enthusiasm made me feel right at home.
Feels like a budget hostel or a bedsit put together on a tight budget. Only positives are location and quietness of this road. My advice is to avoid unless you have no option. Does not have the cosy elements you would expect from a B&B. Old style furnishings, untidy plumbing and wiring, old sheets, dank vibe, corridor lights that turn off really quickly, narrow labyrinthine corridors, & not reassuring for leaving your possessions in the rooms. I did not spend the night - despite the hassle of changing plans and losing the cost of the stay. The management of door entry and keys is complicated and feels institutional.
I had to stay in a B&B unexpectedly as I had a burst pipe in my house. I looked a several hotels in the area as I needed to be near the area for work and family commitments. For the price which is very reasonable Dun Laoghaire I found the rooms, bedding spotless, soft and comfy bed toppers, with good WiFi and TV. The manager was always either available in the premises or by phone 3v3m late when I had lost my key.. I feel some of these reviews are unfair as if you want 4 or 5 star hotels at a faction of the price this is unreasonable. Maybe if they were too cheap to pay the 350-400 at night at the local hotels it is up to them to take responsibility. I had a room with a bathroom but did use the shared toilet downstairs when I was in the dining room and asked to see another room when I checked in as was worried the street might be noisy at night all 2 rooms I seen were clean and of the same standard. The photos included in some reviews are certainly not in the Mulgrave Lodge. I have also given then details to my stepson friends who will be visiting Dublin in April 2024. Please be mindful of reviews that seem to complain about everything. Thank you to the Lodge and I wish you all the best as an Irish run business. Millie
Stayed here during my visit in Dublin around late autumn. The reviews reflects the current state of the hotel. Rooms were small, bathrooms were shared among 12 other rooms. Towels provided were paper-thin. Shower gel was not provided, instead the owner expected everyone to share a bar soap. Please do yourself a favor and avoid staying here, it is a complete rip-off to be paying €180 a night for a shady room with terrible living conditions. To the owner of this lodge, seriously consider attending an ethics course on how to run a business.
Neat and clean. Nothing fancy but was perfect for my purpose. I will definitely stay there againRooms: 5/5
This place is a complete dump, the photos are not showing what it is actually like. The carpets and walking with dirt and stains, the walls and windows are covered in BLACK MOULD!! The dust is about an inch deep. From the moment I stood in the door I was afraid to sit anywhere I got itchy at the thought of having to stay in bed that had damp pillows, stained sheets and what smelled like dirty bed sheets. We had to leave after 10 minutes and book somewhere else which cost a pretty penny that we didn’t have. Rang the manager to ask for some of a refund to be told no. She was very rude from start to finish and personally I would take this off booking sites as people are paying good money to stay here and then when arriving they are leaving and spending double for other accommodation. Rooms: Filthy, dusty, BLACK MOULD
Well… where to start! If I was a 3 legged rat with rabies, parvo and uncontrollable diarrhoea I still wouldn’t stay here. You couldn’t pay me to stay here! I’ve seen cleaner crack dens than this. £170 for two nights?? I’d rather collapse in a bush in a bikini for the night than stay here. Owner/staff ruder than a Karen asking for a refund smells like a heated up corpse stuffed under a bed. And don’t get me started on the black mould growing on the walls??! It’s more alive than the personality of the staff, you could name it! So yeah… highly recommend jumping off a cliff than staying here!
