We visited the Highland Cattle Park. The wee coos were so adorable & they were all so peaceful! The bulls were in a different field and just massive! In total, there were 4 fields with coos. Benches & shady trees. Will definitely love to visit again to see more of the huge park!
Always opportunities for decent but easy walks. The house grounds are excellent for walking, as is the paved trail along White Cart Water. One downside is parking is relatively expensive - £5 minimum to park up near the house, for which you get four hours. Shorter options would be preferable! Despite that, it's worth a visit and a stroll around. Dog-friendliness: Plenty of dogs being walked ^_^
Genuinely did enjoy our visit here. Went for a picnic and to see the highland coos. As it was an extremely sunny day, didn’t get to see many of the cows, but definitely had a good walk and lovely picnic. The only major drawback I felt was that in the entire property there were 2 washrooms and they both shut earlier than when the park shuts. That created a little bit of an inconvenience for us. Restrooms: Only two available for limited times at the house and at the museum.
Very beautiful place to visit, I've been twice now, once to see the highland coos and art gallery and once to wander around the house. The library is a stunning room, of you love books we paid once there and had no trouble doing so, they also have a over 60's price. Restrooms: Clean and well managed
Really well manicured gardens with lots of accessible paths for cyclists and pedestrians. Unfortunately the main house was closed, but we got to walk around and it was scenic and beautiful. The paid parking for both this and the Burrows collection forces you to pay £5 for 4 hours, there's no lesser denomination. Highly recommend visiting. Dog-friendliness: Lots of dog walkers, suspect you need to keep them on a lead.
Full fun day out to explore many things for kids, surprisingly got to see highland cows which was amazing experience, indoor options available for kids to spend some nice time during weather condition. we had a good time eating packed lunch in sitting area inside museum. Restrooms: clean and maintained inside museum
A lovely place to visit..lots of woodland trails, buildings to visit..The Burrell Collection opens..tickets £5..cafe and facilities there.. Also a bridge and waterfall to see also the beautiful highland cattle with their young..so cute....you could spend all day .parking £5 for up to 4 hours..payable by coins or parking app..
An amazingly beautiful and serene place with marvelous views, wildlife, and gardens. It is so vast that it is impractical to explore the whole park in one day; you need multiple visits to comprehend its vastness and wonders. You will forget you're inside a metropolitan area, away from all the noise and fuss. a most see indeed.
Beautiful place, one of my favourite places to go for a walk and a look around. It's definitely worth a visit. There's plenty to see and do, and it looks different every season.
Great park to visit with lots of woodland paths and highland cows. The house is impressvie with lovely gardens you can walk round. The Burrell collection is a great museum and the restaurant is excellent. Parking is now pay and display and not cheap
