Called in here for evening meal as I was staying locally. The dining area is great, I loved the fact you can take a seat then do all ordering through the app. The process of ordering drinks and food is very easy through the app with all items arriving in good time. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is good with a selection of tables or booths to choose from; there are also some higher tables with stools. The area is large, Wi-Fi available all menu items are reasonably priced.
I am visiting restaurant for a dinner from time to time. Usually I'm only there for a short time to eat something because the food is really tasty and for a good price. However, today's situation has made me doubt who is employed there. I waited in line to place an order like the others and when it was my turn lady from the bar said: "now is not your turn , this guy was before you" okay, I thought, I waited so long for this, then I can wait now as well. Finally lady was ready to take my order, I asked for chicken wings and two red sauces, I didn't manage to finish the sentence when I heard: "maybe please? Don't talk to me like that!" I was shocked a bit and just explained that she didn't let me even finish the sentence, but didn't get any apology for this aggressive behaviour. I had feelings that I was attacked because of mine foreign accent…Girl with blond curly hair should hold her emotions when is serving customers or just simply change the job.
Came here for some food and a drink with a mate! I had the 3 for £12! Had the chicken breast bites, halloumi fries and southern fried chicken! It was super busy but our food and drinks came out quickly and super hot. Was very impressed. The staff were also super friendly even when being rushed off their feet! Will be back.
A very clean and large airy pub with good facilities. Toilets are clean and regularly checked. There is a large outside smoking area and good sized seating area for diners. Each day there is a managers special on the drink, normally 99p a pint. At the moment the January sales food and drink menu is exceptional value.
I was working in the town last Sunday, during my break I popped into this wetherspoons and ordered some lunch with some friends.. It took forever for drinks to arrive and then food arrived once we had finished our drinks, my friend ordered a ham and cheese panini, when he took his second bite he ended up with a mouth full of melted plastic. He took it back to the bar and complained and was told "yeah the kids in the kitchen are useless today". The young manager came across and gave him a full refund and offered us all a round of drinks. I had a buttermilk burger which was okay but a tad on the greasy side so didn't finish it.
Good Wetherspoon pub. Everything you'd expect from them. Can get quite busy though, and was on my visit. Apart from that, I had a pretty good meal here.
Cheap beer, cheep food and convenience of ordering through the app means it isn't too bad. Great for people watching: We watched 3 mums, all with children in pushchairs doing rounds of shots at the bar at 4pm.
Have been a regular customer for over 15 years and by & large, I have always been made welcome here. Only Aldershot Weatherspoons has a weird, " no loitering rule", at the Bar. Quite ridiculous really, as most people interact with each other St the nearby Bar. Greg Hall LR MRICS and Architect.
Fantastic drinks offers, attentive staff. Reasonably priced food. But as with other WS a very mixed crowd of mainly older clientele that like no music of pool table and young rowdy workmen and wino's that like cheap booze.
I normally Don't leave reviews but the service is spot on ! Every time go out of their way to be accomadating . The manageress controls the busy atmosphere well . Could see I was oggling at my flat pint and was proactive to bring over a fresh one . Decent chilled social with pals for sure ! .
