About £17 average dish,wine about£20 a bottle. Dining area was empty apart from us this Saturday lunchtime. Good for eating outside,but views if the road. Menu is very bistro. Food was okay. Plates warm. We had duck and bread starter,it was okay, wouldn't rave about it.

Very nice and cosy little hotel. The rooms are decorated with taste and everything is so comfortable. The room has all the appliances you need. It also has a coffee machine and a fridge full of beverages.
Breakfast it good and the staff very friendly. The place has a charm and the price is very interesting too. Looking forward to my next stay here!

We love coming to the Princess Royal with Leia, our German Shepherd puppy. The staff are great and really friendly, always making a fuss of Leia and a bowl of fresh water is never far away. Special thanks to Shaun, Steph and Shannon who always make us feel so welcome, coming over for a chat when service allows. You are a credit to your employers and people like us will always keep coming back when you give the pub such a friendly vibe and Leia says thank you too!!

Really great, friendly staff! Great portions of food! Ordered a bowl of chips and had at least 12oz!!!! Fantastic garlic bread, proper door-stop bread! The only grumble would be the lumpy bed...didn't have the best night's sleep, but that's just me! Great selection of Ale and then we also had a rainforest style shower head! Would definitely go again!
