Went here to see "Cirque Afrique" and "Frankie goes to Bollywood". The first was colourful and energetic performance of dance, music, acrobatics, and contortionism, but I enjoyed the Bollywood much more, great dance and storyline. There's no storyline with "Cirque Afrique" just a series of performances. The Foyer has a good amount of space with plenty of standing & seating, and a bar/caffe
Excellent venue on London's Southbank about 10 minutes walk from Waterloo Station. We attended a contemporary classical music concert by the brilliant Manchester Collective who performed 4 pieces including Steve Reich's great Different Trains. The venue can seat nearly 1000 people and has very good sight lines and acoustics. Two decent bars in the foyer.
Central located in London along the river Thames makes it a lovely location. There's foot stalls 50m away, as well as restaurants in the same area. Waterloo train station is a few minutes walk away. Very spacious venue. Easy access to bar. Comfortable theatre seats. Theatre stage has no obstructions from what I could see from my seat k27. Looking behind from me seat also appears to be no obstructions. Will definitely go there again
Lovely place to pass time with lots of shows, concerts, performances and exhibitions for all the family at a great location. Variety of bars and restaurants and weekend street food stalls.
My first time here, which I cannot believe and why it's taken so long to do so. Saw Riopy and it was an excellent piano performance from him, highly recommend it in terms of the venue and seeing this type of performance. It's the Southbank Queen Elizabeth Hall and I look forward to going again. If you're visiting London and there's someone you like performing here, make sure to do so. Solid A***** LDT x
Lovely theatre. Great view and plenty of leg room. Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere.
At Queen Elizabeth Hall to see Jesse Cook who was amazing! First time at the QEH and it was an amazing venue. Loved that the seating was one long sloping area. The seats were very comfortable with loads of leg room. Waiting/bar area was very nice and spacious. The Hall was easy to find and the location was lovely. Hope to see another show there in the future.
Well this was a little gem of a discovery. Very cool little roof time garden space overlooking the Thames and SouthBank area. Theres a cafe/bar to grab a drink and a snack. The staff were pleasant. There are lots of tables and benches around the gardens and also rails for leaning against should you wish to stand and look over the river. Only downsides were 1 it’s a cashless bar and 2 there are no toilets the nearest are inside the Concert Hall building
Nice place, good atmosphere, good drinks bar not the cheapest around good stage, sound, everything as it should be. Great staff, very helpful.
Came here to see Marc-André Hamelin. Great acoustic and comfortable seating which doesn't squeak! Hall is easily accessible from Waterloo. Nice to have access to the main foyer for drinks in the interval. Only downside was I could hear another event taking place somewhere else in the building which was distracting in the second half.
