Came to see The Old Dark House which was excellent and loved The Box - so comfortable. Excellent exhibition of Mark Neville's moving and important work. Bought the books so now poorer in pocket but richer in knowledge. Coming back in two weeks for double bill of Frankenstein and Bride of himself plus course on the horror films of Universal. Oh Heaven Thy Name is Quad.

Their excellent bistro cafe is a fantastic place for a bite to eat, with great menu options all at realistic prices. The Quad stands out with it's cinema. Watching a film while sitting on a huge comfortable sofa what could be better. Staff are very polite and friendly. Would certainly go again

Really great theatre If you haven’t tried this place yet then you need to have a look, they have a nice bar where you can get pretty much anything you could want, the theatre rooms are well equipped and being quite a decent build by most standards, it feels very clean and modern. Not as big or as capable as some of the other chains but this should be obvious, ample parking and easy access to lots of convenient bars and restaurants should give this bonus points, if you want a great evening and a nice (relatively quiet) evening with a movie that isn’t jam packed like some of the others, you can’t go far wrong with Derby’s own Quad.

I like the quad. I like everything about it. It's a good place to go and watch a film or event without a cacophony of jabbering chavs on phones or hyperactive kids running everywhere( Yes you Showcase). Naturally with better clientele you enjoy it more. It also has decent food and quizzes, book groups etc. And unlike a recent cinema, it actively encourages people on the autistic spectrum

As cinemas go this place is pretty good. Good range of films and you can sit on a sofa and drink beer whilst watching them. Also do student discount (I think).
