This is my second visit to this car park because of its location relative to the Waterside theatre. My first visit was flawless with no issues with the payment & automatic exit barriers. However my latest experience 02 May was completely different. After paying and trying to exit, I got caught in a long queue. As I got nearer to the barrier I could see that the queue was caused by problems with the exit barrier & roller shutter not recognising number plates or accepting the valid ticket that had been returned after payment had been made. I also experienced the same issue when I got to the barrier and felt that the response time to answer the call button was excessive bearing in mind that every vehicle in front had experienced same issue. On the whole this seems to be a safe car park, with reasonable space between vehicles, but once the automated technology fails the customer service response was lacking. Hence the loss of a star.

Really convenient and spacious car park located in close proximity to Sale tram station. We used this car park to go to Old Trafford Cricket stadium, we were travelling from Birmingham. We parked for almost 10 hours and paid around GBP 11 which is quite cheap. Used it again for travel to the city centre and that was also very convenient.   Should also say the car park is neatly laid out with enough spacing unlike some NCP car parks I have been to. Highly recommended.

If no stars was an option I would certainly have gone with this. Everything at this car park is intermittently broken. Customer service respond to nothing. Spent 25 minutes on an online chat to receive no response to my query despite an agent joining after 2 minutes. Disgraceful service

As an 82 year old, I found the payment system extremely difficult and confusing. On arrival, I inserted my debit card by mistake into the machine and tried ringing the tel. number but, as usual, nobody was in the office. After 30 mins. a chap arrived and returned my card. On returning c. 2 hours later, I tried to leave the car park but was unable to pay the £6.20 parking charge and more calls were made over next 30 mins. Eventually. I was released from `prison` but still unsure whether I paid the parking fee ? My friend in another car also had difficulties in exiting the same car park at the same time. Other `younger` users also complained about the system and lack of any staff in the office. If I still owe the £6.20 happy to pay it, despite the confusion, but not sure how to pay, so will try again to contact them....with low expectations !

I would only use this unmanned car park if  I was prepared to spend an hour waiting to get out due to a barrier issue and then be told to be ‘patient’ by a chatbot. Also, if you enjoy paying twice for your parking
