Great family-friendly place. Lovely garden - this time there was some quirky planting of bulbs on/in a desk. Always enjoy wandering through the deer park. Good National Trust cafe as you'd expect. Very popular especially at weekends. Recommend going off the beaten track a bit and walking in surrounding area too. Been here many times growing up and is still the go-to place for family wander with all ages when we visit.

The Hall is well worth a visit and the grounds are beautiful for walking, picnics etc. Great for a family day out. We have wandered through the deer park and been just yards away from rutting stags. Amazing to see. The Christmas light show was spectacular too. Our granddaughter loved it - fairground rides, Father Christmas, food and drink stalls and toasting marshmallows over an open fire!

Great place for a day out with something for everyone. The house and gardens are open at various times to explore and they run various trails in the garden for children in holidays. The deer park and the North Park area is great for a walk. Kids love the log pile in the North Park. Check out the National Trust website for info on prices. Everything is free to National Trust Members.

The house is better now than it was last year. Presented differently, but still includes the old hospital room which is beautifully presented. Good facilities and a lovely short circular walk through the deer Park. Well worth a visit.

We met grandparents here with our children, so there was a wide range of ages! All enjoyed themselves and there was things of interest for everyone. The gardens are beautiful and well worth a walk around. There's good facilities and quite a pricey cafe, but pretty standard for National Trust.
