Had a lovely Sunday lunch. Had a very warm welcome and excellent food, what more could you ask for. Also dog friendly. Well done all. See you next time
Food was very nice. Good selection on offer. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with a large easy access car park.
Booked several weeks in advance for Sunday roast having previously had some excellent meals here. On arrival we were handed a limited menu and when I asked if roasts were available the staff informed me that "we stopped doing them last week and now only do them in winter." The food we had was OK but pricey for what it was.
What a wonderful find. Lovely food and atmosphere. Smiley helpful staff. Hope to return here again if we're in the area.
Lovely staff, lovely food, great location to the close national trust property. Would recommend highly!
Just visited this lovely pub for a meal. It was delicious! Lovely atmosphere, unpretentious, friendly helpful staff, well kept beer, comfortable surroundings. All in all a real little gem. Will definitely be returning next time we come this way.
Booked a table and ordered food, food arrived without vegetarian option, meaning £14 for 3 veg. No Yorkshire puddings, beef was well done, roast potatoes were like rock, vegetables were missing so all in all a complete shocking experience. The staff were fine but the manager was nowhere to be seen
What a disappointment! The meat was tough and inedible, the whole meal was stone cold! The beef was supposed to be rare, it couldn’t have been cooked more! We did say to the waitress that our meals were cold, we were asked if we wanted them to take them back but as some were already eating we chose to just put up with it. The waitresses then had attitude issues with us throughout the rest of the meal. Desserts were not any better, sticky toffee pudding was cold, cheesecake and ice cream would have been okish if there hadn’t been a foreign body in the ice cream. Roast pork, beef and nut roast was the only thing on the menu, so surely they should have been able to get that right! £5 for a small slice of bread! Don’t mind paying over the top prices as long as the food is nice & all enjoyed it! We we’re debating who was going to have coffee when the waitress said, You need to go now, we have another booking for this table and promptly walked away! Only gave the 1 star as couldn’t leave zero. Most definitely wouldn’t recommend this place, a great shame as used to be nice!
Dog friendly and friendly staff, but coffee is a hit and miss affair. Which at 3.60 a cup really shouldn’t be. Too many places get away with not having staff that - though may be skilled in all other bar work - cannot differentiate between a flat white and a latte. Academic really as neither was done well. Other than that, seems a fine place for a drink.
Excellent daytime £10 lunch. Great place. So welcoming and professional. St Austel beer well kept. Made to feel well accepted with dogs in tow.
