Well deserving of 5 stars! From the moment we entered, we were met with cheerful well-mannered personnel. Paul - a real genuine guy - who manages came & introduced himself. The food was fresh, good quality & well presented. I would personally recommend the William 1V burger. We visit Cornwall every 2 years & will definitely be returning to this pub!
Visited the pub to have lunch, noting the seating area has been expertly refurbished into cosy booths. I had 2 pints of Tribute and orange juice for my wife; the pints slid down very well! Following my wife ordering the food, the food arrived quickly together with friendly service. Visit when in the area and you will not be disappointed.
good night had here. staff are all so lovely. we took part in the quiz and although we joined late the quiz master took his time to go back through the questions with us! no idea how we did as the drinks were flowing and I was smashed. good evening tho. ty
Pretty much the only thing this insanely overpriced pub had going for it was that they did food all day. Now, like most other places in Truro, they only sell their £15 sandwiches at prime lunch and dinner time, which is a weird business decision since nobody who has been in Truro for more than three days would ever buy their food if they had any other option. Good for a beer though, If you want to spend 50p more than everywhere else in town.
Great service, very polite and courteous staff. The food was lovely and took no time to arrive. The atmosphere and vibe of the place are second to none.
Popped in for a bite to eat and a rest from Christmas shopping on a Sunday afternoon. Having visited here before, I was expecting great things ... especially as the place was packed, with the pleasant young lady who welcomed me at the door apologising that there was only 1 table left in the conservatory. Unfortunately I was disappointed, whereas the food quality was ok, their prices weren't : A small bowl of Cheesy Chips, with no side salad or Garnish = £4.95 A very small bowl of Homemade Coleslaw = £3.95 Brie Wedges, with very small side salad/garnish = £6.50 Soft drinks weren't the cheapest either .. paying close to £4 for a pint of Coke. Service was excellent, and the expensive food arrived promptly, and was piping hot.
Amazing place for Food & Drinks, and by far the nicest pub in Truro! The Sunday Carvery is Beautiful!!! Staff are very welcoming and friendly and always smiling, very well presented and clean with a lovely beer garden, also, one of the only places in the city to provide this Along with being dog friendly and toilets are kept to a very high standard too! I'd recommend to anyone wanting to have a relaxed Lunch/Dinner, or even a cheeky pint or G&T in the evening after work!!!
Very nice pub in the centre of Truro. Staff were very attentive and caring. Food was superb, presentation the best!
Came for my birthday weekend as a group of 6, this place was picked for its menu having a wide range of foods available. It was easily accessible, food was delicious and service was very good. Would happily come back again
