I have worked around prestbury for the last 4 years, it’s nice area with a lovely village 👍

This station is not staffed at any time and has no automated ticket machines, so buying a ticket ahead of time (e.g. online) is essential (unless you feel like queuing *at* your destination for a journey you've already taken). Furthermore there are no real-time updates (i.e. live departure/arrival boards) and phone signal is poor so it is difficult to keep up with delays and cancellations, which are a regular occurrence. Needs considerable investment of resources to improve user experience.

Very good and reliable service from this station. However, facilities are a pale shadow of what they once were. No heating in waiting rooms and the station is completely unstaffed with no indicator boards.
