One of the most peaceful railway stations that you can visit — which works out well for how long you can often wait for a train
Nice station, friendly staff
It’s easy to find. Simple station with two platforms. There are some benches to sit on and ways for people in wheelchairs to get to the platforms.nnI think the ticket office worker isn’t the best help with train timetables or getting tickets. They act like they can’t be bothered and when paying for a ticket sometimes gets the date wrong, I don’t think they pay that much attention.nnTo avoid that problem I just get the tickets on my phone on the Trainline app so I can just skip that part out of my train journey.nnApart from that it is a decent train station.
The ticket office is always closed at the most relevant times, and the woman there really can't be bothered. Other than that, this station has literally nothing due to the rich people of hale not needing to take a train.
They should extend the tram to Hale instead of terminating at Altringham.nNorthern trains once an hour. I know people drive and dont use the train, but the tram serving it would make it more accessible.
