Should have thought twice about booking with this company after seeing their lower than average reviews. Booked a collection the night before for a 6:30am estate car to go Leeds Bradford airport.. 6:40 no cab. Call them. Sorry, we’re just waiting for an estate car to be despatched! When will that be? Sorry we can’t tell you! Brilliant! Their phone system is shocking too! If you can’t answer the phone properly or pick up clients on time, don’t be a taxi firm! My family are taking me now!
Ordered a Taxi for the friendly at Leeds United Elland Road for Friday. We ordered in good time for a 6.00pm the day before. Checked again on Friday morning. Despite ringing three times to confirm it was on its way from where we live in Shadwell and the Driver was on the case. No driver arrived. We cancelled having got a lift from a neighbour going to the match. We cancelled around 6.45pm. I can’t express strongly enough that anything said via the Cab Operator were mere platitudes. This isn’t in anyway a reliable Taxi Firm. What does booking mean to this firm?????? Never, never again. Platitudes: 1. He knows 2. Mad Friday 3. Busy on the Roads 4. Top of the list
Car had not arrived at the time of the text which stated my car had arrived. I was informed by my next text that I could pay via Google Pay and the driver said ‘no’ it is cash only. If this was the case, why did I get the text!? Probably so they could get more money out of me than google pay. Also, my wife complained about a previous bad experience and had her number blocked. Unprofessional indeed!
We ordered a taxi this morning to our family home, when the taxi arrived it drove past use and parked further down the road. I went down to see if this was our car, it was,i spoke to the driver telling him he was at the wrong address, bit he was addamant he was at the rìght house. He drove off after 5 minutes. We had to order another taxi, which turned up within 3 mins.. i told the driver, he said i should complain..
STOLE FROM ME! Took a taxi from amber on New Year’s Eve, handed the man my cash and he took an extra £20 and drove off. I have been calling amber almost DAILY for nearly a MONTH and no resolution. Every phone call I am told to ring back tomorrow when a different member of staff is in. I have been promised numerous calls and have not received even ONE!! I feel totally disregarded as a customer Bare in mind I use amber regularly - NEVER AGAIN and instead of being told they can’t do anything about it I’ve just been completely avoided and ignored. I spoke to LIAM who told me he would personally handle the situation - I thought I was finally getting somewhere - but no! I was ignored and avoided once again never receiving a call back. DO NOT BOOK AMBER THEY ARE THIEVES!!!
Very hit and miss and loathe the automated call service. Can a human answer the call pls as it's impacting on your customer service levels. All disabled carrying taxis get booked up very far ahead and there are never enough working or available when we've so badly needed them. Sadly though I think this is standard now
The driver was rude he answered the phone about his personal life whilst I was sat In the vehicle. I’d been shopping so had shopping bags. He didn’t help me carry bags to the house or the car? I was on the other hand very polite
Amber Cars has really gone down hill. The drivers are rude, arrogant and have no clue where anything is. Always take long route and will frequently ask for cash up front even though I have been a very regular user and never not paid. I won't be doing business with them anymore.
Booked a car for a morning trip to the train station. After waiting 20 mins past the collection time I had to make other arrangements in haste and cancelled the taxi. Taxi turns up 1 hour later. Logs a bonus ride and charges me for it. After 20 mins of trying to speak to someone, I received no apology. Just asked what I wanted other than a refund. Horrible company. Horrible staff.... And liars
Pre ordered a taxi which arrived on time. Very professional and friendly driver. Phoned for a taxi for the return journey and it arrived in a timely manner and rang to ask where we were stood.
