5 ’s all round!!!!!nI stayed here a while back with my husband and our 18 month old son, after attending a wedding nearby. The hotel is lovely and in such a convenient location. The receptionist Brooke was so lovely, and went above and beyond to accommodate my sons dietary requirements for breakfast. Breakfast was very nice, and a great price.nWe will definitely be back when we next visit Doncaster!nThe beds are sooooo comfy!!!!!!
Really impressed with our stay, rooms were clean and pleasant. Nice facility. Sam on reception was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful with information regarding our trip and visit in to the city centre.
I came here for a business trip and the reason I gave only 2 stars is because the receptionist was lovely, but everything else was horrendous! If you want to be up the whole night parting with everyone outside just book one of those rooms facing the restaurant and that's it no sleep for you an entire night! Dunno who made that decision to put bar tables under guests' windows, but that guy deserves to be fired immediately and get a new brain ASAP! If I could give 0 stars for the restaurant I would, but obviously I can't! You order a meal here you will wait at least an hour, and if you are ordering beef don't bother telling them how would you like your beef to be cooked because the chefs have absolutely no clue what is Rear,MR,Medium,MW or Well Done!..even if you complaint to the bar staff about your temperature they also have no clue how a Medium for example should look like! I had a guy convincing me for 10 minutes that my Well Done Beef was Medium, priceless! If you order Fish or Calamari forget about the lemon wedge, because that doesn't go with seafood, of course! The bar staff needs big-time training and education as well! What about the breakfast team? They are even worse! There are almost never fried eggs on the buffet! Even if you stand there and wait to get attention from anyone to tell them that there are no fried eggs, you are just wasting your time! No one will ever come to check on the buffet or to ask you what are you waiting for and why are you standing there! For them is much more important to chat between themselves and ignore you, rather than help you! Lowest of the Low!
Stayed here as lay over and upon arrival were disappointed at the lack of premier in only car park. We phoned and were told twice by a slightly irritated receptionist that we should park in the large public car park. We parked as near to cameras as possible as we sensed danger. The lord must have been watching. The next morning, we saw two cars only but a row away with there windows now decorating the car park floor. Their owners a quivering wreck whilst pondering their windy journey back home. This epic near miss aside, we have never visited Doncaster in south Yorkshire England before. We were unaware that it draws it local climate directly from the surface of the sun. The room was a health hazard. Aside from the always comforting premier in mattress, which I had to peel myself from for my regular twice nightly pee in my 40s you know it's was a restless night. The shadow of a token £15 b&q fan mocking us in the corner just deepened the wounds. Anyway, a mediocre stay.
Nice locationnplenty free of parking. Plenty of fast food places. Pub and playgym on the same site as the premier inn.nSupermarket and fuel station in the same area.nBig lake to walk around.nHelpful staff
