We recently held an afternoon social for 23 retired staff at The Pointing Dog, and it couldn’t have gone better. The food, drinks, service, and organisation were all excellent, with every request carried out seamlessly. The pub itself is spotlessly clean, with ample parking, and while the weather kept us indoors, the gardens are a beautiful space that would be perfect on a sunnier day
Drive home from Blackpool and we decided here for a some food and a drink well from walking in absolutely lovely service with having a disabled boy in a big push chair they put us on a table with plenty of room and they had proper disabled toilets but the changing table is still the grey pull down.nBut the food was absolutely lovely well nice from the brewery tower burger to the cheese & onion pie home made and I'll be stopping here again i would recommend this to others
A lovely pub with excellent parking, great food options and a spacious outdoor garden in the sun for both drinking and dining. Drinks generally on the pricier side compared to other places but have also eaten here too. Our food was delicious with lots of great options and as you can see, portion sizes were excellent. Service was brilliant and lovely atmosphere. Worth a visit!
I visited with my family on several occasions and everytime it was a fantastic evening. From the moment we walked in, the cozy atmosphere and warm fireplace made us feel right at home. The selection of local ales was impressive, and the bartender was super helpful in recommending the perfect pint. We ordered the fish and chips, and it was absolutely delicious – crispy batter and perfectly cooked fish. The service was top-notch; our server was attentive and friendly. Overall, a brilliant experience, and I can't wait to visit again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a traditional pub experience with great food and a welcoming vibe!
Amazing experience! The service from start to finish was brilliant, friendly, funny staff who were so accommodating. Food was absolutely amazing for a good price. The building itself was equally as nice, overall every single aspect of our visit was great. Highly recommend for a Sunday roast
