Great little Sunday roast in here. I had the platter with my partner and we really enjoyed it. The roast pork was especially tasty. I’d comenBack just for that next time. Plenty of options if you’re not into a roast too. Will be back. Recommend booking on a Sunday as very busy.
My son and I went in half 6 Saturday evening having just phoned ahead to check. Pub was bustling with a good atmosphere and the restaurant was filling up.nnLovely friendly staff tended to us throughout the meal which was delicious!nnI had the chicken fillet, which had lovely crispy skin and the caramelised onion and potato gratin was fantastic and all held together with a great sauce. He had rump steak, medium rare, which was really nicely cooked.nnDesserts were equally good. I had sticky toffee pudding which was moist with lots of toffee sauce and a really generous helping of ice cream. He had the chocolate and salted caramel cake which was chocoholics heaven!nnHighly recommended.
I advance booked a table for 8, including one with mobility issues, on a Sunday 1430. The table was ready on our arrival and drinks were offered and served. We had pre arranged our likely menu preferences and after confirming no changes we sat down to an excellent variety of dishes 6 plus a platter for 2. We then had a number of sweets which were super quality if a little pricey. Overall a great experience. I marked down one star for atmosphere because there was a large raucous adult party. Staff had tried to isolate them but their noise filled the place.
We visit regularly as we always find the menu has plenty of choice and the food is always really good quality and well presented. Staff always very friendly and helpful. Husband enjoys the real ale beers and they are kept in good condition. We recommend this pub/restaurant.
We had a wonderful experience, our waitress Susan was excellent. She was very attentive without being intrusive. Very quick service, and an extremely pleasant attitude. Thank you Susan!
