Story

Hand-picked, fresh, authentic ingredients thoughtfully prepared by our Sardinian Head Chef Claudio, and the rest of the team, is what sets Mercato Italiano apart from the rest.
Yes, we offer Italian classics such as pizzas and garlic breads, however our broad range of Assaggini is our real point of difference. Roughly translated ‘assaggini’ means ‘a little taste of everything’ we have over thirty small plates to choose from including steaks, seafood, salamis, carpaccio, risotto and delicious cheeses. The dishes are served from the kitchen as and when they’re cooked so start off with a few and keep going till you’re satisfied. Select your own salad from our deli counter (coming soon) and finish off your meal with one of our delicious homemade desserts.
All washed down with some of the finest beers, wines and prosecco’s known to man (or woman) – all heavily influenced by the fine heritage of Italy. Our hospitality is typically Italian, warm, friendly and relaxed and skilfully headed up by Giovanni Testoni and Salvatore Sechi.
