It's a nice setting to stop for a drink, very dog friendly and nice staff, plenty of outside seating and a good spacious pub. Food was slightly sub par really, which is a shame as I think it would need to really good for people to make a special trip out. £8.50 for three chicken goujons just felt a bit pricey for what was obviously cheap frozen food. The rest was okay but you won't be blown away by it. Hope it gets better, either prices down or food quality up.
Stayed at the campsite for a couple of nights to have a base to go hiking from. Great location to get out on the moor quickly and easily, facilities were clean and having the choice on where to pitch the tent was a nice bonus. Atmosphere in the pub was great, and easy to find a comfortable corner for me and the dog after a day of walking. Food was good and with the Dartmoor brewery just around the corner the beer was great. Staff were all fantastic, stopping to chat and give the dog a few treats when it was quiet. Will almost certainly stay again.
Excellent family friendly pub and restaurant with some rooms and an attached campsite. Good range of national and local beers, home-cooked food and a great atmosphere. Very popular for Sunday lunch. Camp site is handy for wild-campers looking for a hot shower and clean toilets.Food: 5/5
Came here today for lunch with my daughter and my parents and my little dog. First time I have been since 2019. So much better than it used to be. Welcoming and friendly staff. Clean and nice food. Would definitely go againFood: 5/5
Super beer, loved the place , has campground at the back with full facilities , motorhomes welcome and next door at the railway too. Not sure on prices but the railway was £15. Food looked good but I didn't eatService: 5/5

Just had my 1st camp at the Plume since it reopened. Having camped, eaten and drank here many times over the years and it's still the great spot it always was. Staff were friendly and helpful and booking in was easy. Food was great - currently a limited menu of typical pub gub but isnt that what you want?, It was delicious. The beer is excellent. The camp shower rooms and toilets were clean. I would recommend as a perfect base for walking or to pop in for a pint and some food after a day on the moors. I will definately be going back. Parking: Decent car park Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu
Great place to have a pint and warm on a wet October day. Good choice of drinks from beers to spirits. Very friendly staff. The pub kitchen is closed until December due to major renovations so there was no food available, although prior to this the food was good. We normally stay at the campsite they have at the rear of the property but decided to stay at the bunkhouse that has just been renovated, very clean rooms with a nice communal basic kitchen with a seating area.
Excellent pub and I wish them success. The campsite and parking for motorhomers is a big bonus. I had a classic burger which was very tasty and attractively presented. My wife had a bacon baguette which had exceptionally tasty bacon. We will return!
Nice cosy old pub, great service and nice beer. The food was a bit hit and miss. Chips were nice, but bread in one of the meals was stale and the bacon a little dry.Food: 2/5
