The experience of seeing loads of homeless people sleeping rough cannot do anything to improve the look of this area. So I am open minded on this place but it's about time authority did some work on the problem. Especially if they want to improve the look of the experience that people experience in the area. Just passed through the gardens and all I could see was homeless people sleeping and begging for money - which doesn't paint a good picture of the area. Update 20/04/2018 time approx 2310 hrs while I was walking through the gardens i get attacked and assaulted by what I would call a space cadet, in an area that local authority created with greed and stupidity. No police available to answer your my call for help. These facts say it all.

The whole area is an eyesore. You get off the tram and see druggies, the Berlin Wall, dirty people at the outside cafe and street traders. Welcome to Manchester.....I don't think so, it gives off the worst possible impression. It used to be so nice but not any longer.

It used to be a garden by name and a garden by nature. But now it's a modern clinically designed open space with a water feature walkways, trees and some patches of grass.
