I arrived at Manchester Piccadilly station and was impressed by its modern facilities and efficient layout. The staff at information desk and near the gate were helpful, and the bustling atmosphere gave me a sense of excitement for my visit to the city.
Good size station with many facilities, shops, restaurants and cafes. Not that busy.
Very lovely train station! Large variety of trains from a trainspotter point of view and there is frequent services to a variety of stations. A large variety of operators call here including Transpennine express, Transport for wales, Avanti west coast, Northern, East Midlands Railway and Cross Country. There are no ticket barriers present but revenue protection are on hand.nnThere is also a variety of places to grab a bite to eat and shops within the station.nnThe station also functions as a primary location for the British Transport Police so a variety of cars and vans can be seen here - perfect for Emergancy Vehicle Enthusiasts.nnThere are also frequent tram links to a variety of places around Manchester which is amazing!
I love railway station. I love the buzz and the hype. People going, people coming. I could sit and watch them all day long, but now it's time for me to board.
A very crowded but well managed train station in the UK. There are lots of trains passing and arriving but they are always on time. Great architecture as well. Mostly clean areas.
