I like this shop. I feed a variety of wild birds in my garden and a nightly visitor named Harry the hedgehog. Today I was quite happy but my birds are not because for about a week now there has not been any coconut halves stuffed with suet. Must try again soon.

Yesterday evening myself and my girlfriend decided on a whim that we would take a visit to Pets at Home as we have one Goldfish which we wanted to buy a Loach to keep it company and clean the tank, when we went to the tanks we spotted that this particular branch sells Shrimps and also aquatic snails to which my local branch, in Plymouth, does not. We felt that a few of these would be a better companion for our fish. We waited patiently whilst another couple were picking out some tropical fish, it was quarter to eight , this branch closes at 8pm, the assistant spent this minute window of time getting fish out for this couple, with 5 minutes to spare, he'd finished up with this transaction - beginning to put the equipment away and with haste, grabbing an iPad... I awkwardly grabbed his attention and asked if we could grab out our selection, he said 'no not really, it's going to take too much time and we are closing up now' my girlfriend and I basically wasted that time, however small when the assistant could have told us when serving the other customers, that there wasn't any time to buy fish if that's what we wanted - he came over to our proximity a few times so this was very possible. I left this store very disappointed and considering I'm unable to buy what I wanted in my local store, I can't think that I would recommend Pets at Home for any water-based creature. If it honestly takes a long time to catch these creatures into a bag, it maybe a good opportunity for Pets at Home to have more than one staff member qualified for this role in the store, and although the staff member wasn't rude, some customer service in approach and awareness wouldn't go amiss, thankfully I wasn't a mystery shopper, eh?

Well stocked, good variety of things for various types of pets. Vet and grooming services are also available. Staff are knowledgeable and offer personal advice on beds, food toys etc...

A large pet shop with a vets in side open 7 days a week situated in a out of town retail park. We have been using the vets for 13 year and have always been happy with them.

I go here every month with mom to get my girls (dogs) denty sticks as garrenteed they always on offer😉 i also get my chinchilla's forage n nibbles here. Staff is very friendly & helpful. Plus i love to see all the furrbabies they got here lol
