Booked for a single night. Great location 30 seconds off the high street but set back in its own courtyard so it has its own unique ambience. Lovely building, friendly staff and tasteful decor all add up to a really pleasant experience. Rooms were in excellent condition and the beds were comfy. Highly recommended.

I was so surprised on arrival after reading some less than complimentary reviews on here .My experience has been that it a really lovely place to stay .The parking is a bit if an issue and I do not agree that if you are staying at a hotel that you should have to pay to park but that aside it really is a very pleasant place to stay . Right in the heart of the town and in walking distance of all local places of interest. The gardens are beautiful too .Have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definately come again. Staff were friendly and helpful .

Had a wonderful afternoon tea with my best friend - excellent food and the waiter was simply professional, efficient and charming. Sadly, the receptionist was unwelcoming and shirty. Some basic customer care desperately needed.

Room I stayed in was refinished recently. Modern bathroom and furnishings. Rooms are small but comfortable. Would like to see safe boxes and refrigerator added. Good hot breakfast.

Nice hotel in a great central location in Lewes. Limited size car park. Surprisingly quiet despite location. Some nice old features remain but largely been modernised.
