Premier Inn Lewes Town Centre

Story

Premier Inn Lewes Town Centre is in the middle of the tranquil town of Lewes, East Sussex. Surrounded by rolling countryside and white chalk cliffs, it's a picturesque hiking pit-stop. While you're in town, head to nearby Firle Beacon for a bird's eye view of the South Downs, explore the ruins of 1000 year old Lewes Castle or sample traditional cask ale at the historic Harvey's Brewery. Plus, if you visit around bonfire night, you're in for a treat - Lewes locals celebrate in style, and it's the biggest 5th November event in the world. When it's time for a bite to eat, take your pick from the delicious menu at our in-house Thyme restaurant and then drift off for a great night's sleep in your stylish bedroom with toasty duvet and ultra-comfy kingsize Hypnos bed.

I am a wheelchair user, and I thought I had booked an accessible room, but apparently not! A standard room wasn't ideal, but we managed. I couldn't get into the bathroom, and though the bed was quite high, there was a lower one which they made up for me. It would have been nice to be able to open a window, but ours didn't open.
Centrally-located. Paying ncp car park but free Sundays till 9am Mondays. Paid extra for Plus room including fridge. Monika at reception was welcoming, efficient and always helpful. Quiet, clean and very comfortable. Did not eat in hotel.
Rooms clean and comfortable.nWhen checking in and making payment we requested breakfast and assumed it had been done, although the receptionist was distracted by a colleague leaving work.nWent down for breakfast advised hadn’t been added but easily sorted.nOnce we paid we were told the coffee machine wasn’t working and they weren’t doing the buffet breakfast and took orders.nNo proper coffee no orange juice and when breakfast arrived poached eggs solid, beans cold and tomato barely warmed and hard! Awful! When you pay over £220 for your room plus £10.99 each for breakfast you expect a decent meal!
Room was fine. Location good for town centre and station. Staff had a consistent hostile and rude attitude both at check in and at breakfast. Recommend avoiding staying here because of that. Prices aren’t cheap, but they are clearly understaffed and have zero customer service or interpersonal skills. Was made to feel extremely unwelcome.
Fantastic premier inn as always with a great breakfast Parking is not free and there is a Saturday farm market in the car park so you have to be selective where you park. My recommendation is to park at the train station as there is no limit and easy to repurchase a ticket via phone. Parking at the premiere inn is free between 6pm - 9am
