My 1st experience of going to the Pack Horse Inn. Very nice place good views good beer & of coarse good food will be back. We was there for a baby reveal a lot of friends there & they managed very well with all the locals & my friends.. Staff very friendly thank you for a great day.
Lovely, large, rustic, clean pub and restaurant with great countryside views from the two conservatories or outside on the recently extended terrace. Always great food here and the menu options have now increased. I had the BBQ spare ribs recently added to the menu which didn't disappoint. Meat falling off the bone, so tasty! Staff very welcoming and table service is great. Plenty of parking spaces and dog friendly
Large car park, plenty of room to maneuver, very pleasant rural location. Lovely warm friendly atmosphere on entering. We were shown to a spotless table and we had a beautiful panoramic view. We were joined by 4 family members. There was a good selection from the menu, plus a special of the day. We all ordered. The food arrived after a reasonable time by very friendly staff. The food was absolutely gorgeous! My wife and I wil definitely be returning. We traveled around 13 miles to get there, it was well worth it.

Love this place. The staff are all lovely and the service is amazing. Their home made nachos are the best around. I've never had a bad meal from here.
Looking for somewhere to have Dinner we decided to try the Pack Horse in Birtle, it's just off the main road but very easy to get to get too with a big car park so no worries there. We came through the front door and sat in a lovely snug room on the left with a roaring open fire, the bar staff were very pleasant coming over with the menus and giving our dog a doggy treat. Food was excellent and good value, my partner has a chicken wrap with yogurt sauce and I had a cheese burger which we both enjoyed. Drinks were reasonable priced too, I had pint of larger which was cheaper than most places. Definitely recommend to friends and we have been back a few times since. Beautiful place with beautiful surroundings.
It's been a while since I last visited the Pack Horse and a group of us popped in for a coffee whilst out walking. It was warm and welcoming on a cold day. The staff were friendly and the drinks came with complimentary mince pies. It was great to see that the pub now welcomes dogs and plenty of punters were enjoying their visit along with their canine companions. I will definitely be a more regular visitor.
On entering initial staff friendly. Food delicious and cooked and presented well. Serving staff in need of improvement. Empty crockery on the table a long time having to ask for cups and saucers to be taken away. Toilets lovely and clean but toilet seat in ladies loose ..dangerous. Has changed hands so a bit understandard to what we have had before.
We had a fantastic Meal here today, the food was cooked to perfection with a great choice of beers. The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Very clean would recommend to all my friends. Great keep up the good work
Went for the very first time two days ago, and just had to come again for Sunday dinner! Amazing food and they're happy to cater to food I tolerances as well. Big thumbs up!
