This is a lovely pub. We went on a Friday evening about 5 and it got very busy very quickly so there were quite a few people standing. This is obviously very popular with the locals who are very friendly. They were welcoming of children and the bar staff were lovely when my daughter knocked her drink over. A lot people had dogs so it is obviously a dog friendly pub. This is a lovely welcoming place and I would recommend.
Brilliant pub by RAF Fairford, definitely worth a visit if you are in the area doing a bit of spotting. Good range of drinks, as a cider drinker I good highly recommend the Mortimer's cider. I haven't eaten here except cheesy chips, but the service is great as were the chips. Not sure on the vegetarian and vegan side of things, but I'll update this review next time I eat here. Nearby activities: RAF Fairford, what more do you need? Plus plenty of walks around the area.
Called in this evening without a booking, received a lovely friendly welcome and the staff helped to fit us in. Excellent food, high quality service, and good value. Dog friendly and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Really tasty well presented food, with good friendly service for a reasonable price. The real ale kept very well. The Ramsbury Gold that I sampled was excellent. The wine was very reasonably priced at £6.40 for a 250ml glass of very nice Shiraz. Well worth a visit, but book in advance as it gets busy. Well done to all the staff for a great experience.
Had a great Sunday lunch, the food was to die for, ,great staff , Do not miss this pub its great , but book or you may miss it, Free parking, lovely looking Pub ,lovely inside, staff so helpful
Lovely quaint bar in a beautiful setting. Would definitely recommend, I only had a drink, but even so the staff were friendly and welcoming. Also they are happy for a group of 35+ bikers, with plenty of outdoor seating
Good service, moderate prices, lovely clean and tidy setting. New Landlords for a rural retreat. Enjoyed my visit on a hot sunny day as it looked like others did too!
Lovely atmospheric local pub, extremely helpful and pleasant staff the food was excellent our compliments the chef will definitely be going again.
We stayed the night. The hosts were really truly kind and gave us an exceptionally warm welcome. We really felt taken care of during the whole stay! The food is diverse and tasty. Lovely outside beer and garden area. The whole atmosphere is fantastic. Would 100% come back and visit!
Had a wonderful weekend escape at The Old Spotted Cow. The food was amazing and the ambience of the pub was amazing - from the roaring fire to the constant stream of locals visiting their local pub that they obviously adore. We had dinner in the evening and couldn't resist staying for the amazing roast the next day knowing the quality of the food and service was excellent. We stayed in one of the charming large, clean and unique b&b rooms above the pub. The bathroom was huge and very modern, in contrast to the room itself with period features, timbers and views out into the fields. Couldn't recommend the place enough. A credit to the cheerful and attentive owners, Charlie and Kate.
