Absolutely fantastic little pub, serving delicious food and even tastier cider. Peter and his team are friendly and welcoming. Please give this place a try if you're in the area. Look forward to our visit next year.
Came here after a long day on the beach, rang up to book a table and the lady I spoke with was very friendly. I arrived and it felt like a family run pub, was made to feel welcome and was shown the menu. Food arrived quickly and tasted great. Will be adding this to a place to revisit when I’m next in Weymouth again!
Such a lovely place. We booked the skittle alley for a Saturday night birthday party. The room had been beautifully prepared.....a long table to seat 20 people, nice and warm temperature and fairy lights all over to make the occasion special. Communication leading up to the event was excellent. We popped in and met the landlord and the chef and they were very welcoming and helpful. The skittles worked perfectly and all ages, from 5 to 69, enjoyed the activity very much. We had asked for food to be served at 7pm and it appeared exactly on time. Everyone commented on the tasty food.....hot and beautifully presented. Well done to all concerned. This pub deserves to thrive and my family wishes them the very best for the future.
Went in this place one lunch time, no customers which is always good. Got a lot of pictures of boats on the walls, No menus on the tables just a black board on the wall with three meals on, no vegetarian meals, always find places with the dreaded black board are expensive, like they just keep rubbing the price out and adding more on the price, there's a lot of space in this public house and very well layed out plus a outdoor seating area, driving along the near by main road it's hard to notice the place is there and not many houses around there for local trade so should be a good public house if you don't like people
Went with friends for a delicious Sunday roast and an afternoon quiz. Both were excellent. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Gluten free option available with no fuss.
We went for a Mothers Day lunch. Lovely welcome, with a great atmosphere and live music. I had a delicous roast dinner, beef was so tender and juicy! Will definitely visit again
Have been here twice in the last week for lunch and dinner while on holiday. Food was amazing! Both myself and friend thoroughly enjoy it. Super cosy pub with open fire and friendly staff.
Lovely pub . Used by locals . Friendly staff . Relaxed atmosphere. Great food . Clean. Dog friendly. We had a great family meal and lovely evening .
Had a beautiful Christmas meal here today. Pork medallions with all the trimmings. Very tasty and would certainly eat here again.
Superb quality, portion size and service in a wonderful old pub. Literally nothing to fault including value for money.
