Popped in here one evening when the football was on, nice and lively but not too much as I visited with my 17 year old and 8 year old grand child for light bites and a small drink. very welcoming and the standards have improved greatly over the past few years. There is a play area out side with ample parking however it does get very busy in the summer months.
Lovely atmosphere with Xmas parties happening. All staff friendly and warm. Special mention to the chap who, I felt, did a fabulous job with keeping us informed about our order slight mix up with Xmas menu, bought my elderly mum a steak knife for her gammon extremely thoughful!. Excellent customer service that made me want to eat here more often. A fantastic job all round!
Have been to eat here a few times and always enjoyed it but today was poor, poor service and poor meal quality. Bar person, a woman, was very unhelpful, bordering on being rude. Cheese, potato and leek pie was overcooked and it arrived with 12 chips I counted them!, it looked very sorry for itself. My mother had fish and chips and the fish batter was so hard she could hardly eat it, it looked like it had been cooked yesterday then recooked in more oil today...nasty. Certainly not worth what we paid for the meal. WE didn't complain as it was extremely busy and from the service and rudeness we had already experienced from the bar staff, we really didn't want to converse with them again. Sadly, I won't be back.
Food, staff & service all good. However as a local resident I have noticed a marked decline in the upkeep of the exterior building & some internal. The building is looking tatty & in need of maintenance. Some of the issues noticed over the past couple of years are simple fixes that staff could deal with. examples are- dirty windows -dirty curtains very visible from outside - big ugly broken plastic flower pot left on pavement for smokers, maybe they should be encouraged to smoke to the rear of the building, also not pleasant to walk through a congrigation of smokers at the entrance.
Excellent food and excellent customer service!!! Staff were extremely helpful and food was perfect. Glad to go somewhere that looks after their customers. Have already booked a table for a return visit. Shame it's not local to where I live!!! Keep up the good work.
A classic Lounge experience with added hugely busy. Ordered via the app and meals were ready quicker than suggested. Would go again.
We had a lovely time the food was very good and considering how busy it was our food came out in reasonable time again the male serving the tables was very pleasant and efficient.
There's plenty of seating but you can book ahead for you own pace of mind. Happy and helpful staff and prices that isn't going to hurt to much, there's enough tables so you can get away from the bar area of you want. We had the Sunday roast and it was ok, all the veg was cooked and the meat was nice but if there's a niggle I can pull up it's the roast potatoes as they was heavily salted.
Me my brothers & sister had dinner her with our mother as a Mother’s Day suprise thanks to your excellent sevice and great food it made the day very memorable for us all there was no rush for us to leave and it was a nice relaxed atmosphere, many thanks again for your hospitality.Craig taylor
Unfortunately didn't realize it shut earlier Sunday for calvery ,so it was rushed and not as hot as would of liked as not long lived in Weymouth just trying different places to eat ,but will try again and go early if on a Sunday
