Extremely overpriced. If it wasn’t for the fact that we were so hungry we’d have asked for our money back. Quality of food is very poor, portions are small for the price and all pretty bland. Would never visit again. Only gave it 1 star for the fact that we didn’t have to wait that long.
As non residents recently arriving in Manchester, we found this place via Google. Reviews of 4 stars! Pah! Got directed by reception, down stairs. Asked for a table for four and had to wait for table to be cleared. Literally only three tables were taken in what looks to be an extensive restaurant. We should have realised then we were going be dissapointed. Were were hungry and sat down. After 10 mins no one came to serve us. Asked at the bar to be told "you have to order at the bar". There is nothing any where on the bar or restaurant that indicates this. OK, we order at the bar or at least we tried. On what was not an extensive menu most options were not available. Ordered 2 8oz Ribeye steaks, medium rare, with skin on fries and onion rings. Food was delivered around 8.30pm, one was medium the other cremated! No one came to the table to ask how our meals were and failed to bring the onion rings. All for meals, that you have to pay up front for! Coupled with the beers not available from the bar and to be told we couldn't order a desert because the kitchen closed at 9, our complaint was to be heard. Went to reception to speak to the manager. To be told we were told at check in, we would have known. We were walk ins! Manager was useless! Apologised but couldn't accept responsibility! I showed her the 3.9 review and the fact that the website showed the restaurant was still open! She apologised that they weren't up to our standards, in fact they are not living up to their own standards! They get a 1 star as there is nothing lower! Massively dissapoited with the start to our weekend in Manchester!
Decent food and friendly staff at a hotel bar and kitchen. Fun!
We stopped here for tea. We had to find someone to serve us, then they didn't know how to serve a simple drink. A lady said they'd come and take our meal order and we waited 30mins before I went to find someone and turns out that server had gone home. Then most things weren't available on the menu and my partners burger was dry and tastless. The table next to us had the same experience. It was a all round bad experience and I'll never go back.
Only 1 of the staff had professionalism, although I was left everyday at the counter waiting to be seated by staff and they saw but did nothing. Most of the staff were young and left me waiting ages for my drink, only to give it to me with my meal? Which I found weird and other times I had to ask for my drink even though the staff were talking at the bar and the restaurant was not busy at all.
Still waiting for food but most surprised that with 4 young waiting staff behind the bar on a quiet Sunday night when I asked a passing waiter to order I was told I had to go to the bar myself to do so. Also had to pay for food before receiving it. A bit unusual for a hotel restaurant . Hope food lives up to their confidence.
Natasha, Chris and Bart deserve all the credit. Their impeccable customer service and cheerful attitudes completely changed our own after our flights were cancelled. The drinks were tasty and their conversations and love for Manchester infectious. If you happen to stay at Jury’s Inn you’ll have a wonderful stay but don’t go away without going down to Oddsocks and enjoy some good company and a pint too.
We stayed at Jury's Inn and visited their restaurant and I am glad we did. Its a lovely place. The service from Natasha was great and the food and drinks were terrific. I would definitely recommend it.
Popped in for a drink before graduation event. Surprisingly quiet but staff very pleasant, good selection of drinks and food menu looked good. Didn't order any food but table close by did and it looked good.
I expected far better - the cheeseburger was overcooked and dry with almost non-existent cheese or relish and so had little taste. Very disappointing. The cheesecake was ok but nothing special. The staff were friendly.
