Story

Spend time with us for great pub food in a place you'll love. We serve classic dishes with a modern twist - it's the perfect place to get together with familly and friends. Our restaurant is named after the local street of the same name. We are situated on the site of the famous Tommy Ducks pub which hosted a well known face or two over the years! Today, we specialise in freshly cooked, seasonal pub food, which is served up by our friendly team, Plus we're close to Bridgewater Hall, Old Trafford and the 02 Arena - ideal for a tasty meal after a long day!

Called in to get some food before heading to the Eagles concert in the Co-op. The server, Lexi was absolutely lovely. She was so cheerful and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. She made great suggestions food wise and we ended up having a lovely chicken salad and desserts, topped off with 2 glasses of Prosecco. Would definitely call here again Teresa and Marie Ireland
When we arrived we asked what was the next table they had, it was in an hour which for two people who were just walk ins wasn’t bad at all, once we arrived the staff were all super friendly and welcoming, despite being super busy they were able to take our order and bring out our food with not too much wait, despite it all, the staff were all apologetic for any waits. It was understandable as they were very busy and it didn’t bother us at all. The food we got was lovely and reasonably priced. The person who served us, I believe it was Alexandra, was so lovely, welcoming and nice to us and from what we saw all the staff working tonight seemed very friendly too. The atmosphere was also very good and the place was clean despite it being quite busy.
Pretty good all in all. Food good, especially the steaks, very good service, although waiter a bit overstretched. Given one of the best tables. Nice wine, but real ale no longer on offer. Wheelchair accessibility: Seems quite good. No problems, although I only walk with a stick.
I went to Bishopsgate for a couple beers and food with some friends, and had a great time. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. Highly recommend the Cheeseburger fries. Also would like to praise and highlight the service provided by Alexandra, that made our visit very pleased and made sure everything was alright.

Very small portions. In chicken curry only 6 small pieces of chicken. Kids portions 10 chips and 5 small chicken bites. You have to order from a bar ,take your cutlery from bar and pay straight after order, before your food arrive. Never againFood: 2/5
Lovely food and wonderful bar stewards but the manager really ought to up her game if she wants a friendly atmosphere. She is snappy and frankly rude and unfit for a service job.Food: 5/5
Booked for a table of 16, having just finished a day of trading over the road at Tattoo Tea Party at Manchester Central. The venue was ideal as we could walk over and leave cars parked underground at the convention car park. The venue had kindly put us all together on one long table at the far end of the restaurant in our own private little area, which was amazing. We had been bodypainting all day as an entertainment exhibition BPEUK - check us out! and so had bodypainted models with us and none of the staff even batted an eyelid. We went to the bar and ordered individually to keep track of who ordered what etc, and food was super fast and mostly correct. The odd mistake with drinks etc, were corrected really quickly and so cannot complain. The food was fast, flavoursome and did the trick. A few people had dessert, and all picked the chocolate tart, and sadly all of them said they wouldn't have it again, but there were other options available. Everyone allergies were checked carefully, a file provided with all the usual allergens so people could check their meals before ordering etc. And those with an allergy, got their meals before everyone else to avoid cross contamination. On the whole, a great meal. Its hard to cater for large groups, and we're really grateful for being accommodated so easily. Many thanks to all the staff.
