Was a amazing experience food was fantastic very tasty, had a taster menu which included lovely wines with each dish.well worth the money. The staff was amazing explaining all dishes and wines could not fault anything. 5star and more.would highly recommend.Food: 5/5
We shared an evening with James. The food was great and the wine was great, service was good. Was a little disappointed he said he would come down to the bar we waited quite a while but he sat up in the restaurant with two ladies chatting with them. But we had a great night something the wife had wanted to do for a long time.Food: 5/5
food was alright. service and hygiene weren’t so. when we arrived, we wanted the window seat and the waitress said it was booked. but the table stayed unoccupied even when we finished our meal. when we sat down, we accidentally dropped a cutlery, the waiter came to help us pick it up but decided to just put it back on our table instead of getting a new one. the food was okay and reasonably priced. one suggestion for the crab risotto is if it could be plated on an actual crab shell, it would have looked much better. the broccoli side was also a little burnt. overall experience was so-so, would not visit again though.
Went here for Sunday lunch to celebrate my wife and friend’s Birthday's. Even though we have been previously and know what to expect the place still gives you the feeling you’re going to have a very special time. The food was outstanding a three course that taste awesome and fills you to that satisfaction feeling, the service from all the staff was fantastic friendly but not intrusive and they have a great sense of humour. A special mention to Alfie and Fabio who attended to us for the afternoon they were superb. The pricing is tremendous value for the level of food, atmosphere and service. We cannot wait for our next visit.
Great atmosphere and service. Food was reasonably priced and all very tasty. Would give 5 stars but our risotto was undercooked and everything just needed a pinch of salt to bring out the full flavor. Would still recommend and go back!Food: 4/5
Very good restaurant with nice à la carte and meat options. The meat was great, but a bit pricey. The main highlight for me was the service, warm and attentive, proper Northern hospitality.Food: 4/5
Excellent Sunday roast meal at James Martin. The beef was perfect. The potatoes are nice and crispy. The carrots was a favourite. Honey roasted or caramelised slightly, they were so tasty. Had the ox cheek croquettes and it was amazing. So rich. My partner had the baked goats cheese and said it could be a daily, it was that good. We both finished with the delicious sticky toffee pudding. All in all a well recommended roast experience. Well done
Upon my arrival at the establishment, we was promptly greeted with an exceptional display of warmth and hospitality. The welcome extended to us was truly impeccable. The service provided during our visit was truly exceptional. Our dedicated waiter for the evening, Fabio, demonstrated an unwavering commitment to ensuring that our dining experience surpassed all expectations. In addition to Fabio, the attentive and knowledgeable staff members, including Pavel, Vicki, Josh, Gracie, and Hansika, exhibited an impressive level of professionalism throughout our meal. Their expertise was evident as they expertly guided us through the extensive menu, offering insightful recommendations that flawlessly complemented our individual culinary preferences. Now, let us delve into the culinary delights that awaited me. The menu boasted a diverse selection of dishes, each crafted with the utmost care and precision. The presentation of the food was a feast for the eyes, with vibrant colors and artistic plating techniques that showcased the chef's mastery. As for the taste, I can confidently say that it surpassed all expectations. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, expertly balanced and thoughtfully composed. The ingredients used were of the highest quality, resulting in dishes that were both indulgent and refined. In conclusion, my experience at the restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an adventure that transcends the ordinary. The attention to detail, impeccable service, and exceptional cuisine make it a true gem in the culinary landscape.
Superb! Great food and service. The slight negative of our main course being served late was addressed and professionally dealt with by our Waiter without us having to say anything. Thank youFood: 5/5
