"At its heart The Nicholas Culpeper is a classic British pub serving; handpulled cask ales, local craft beers and an extensive wine list. At The Nicholas Culpeper our chefs believe “fresh is best” so they make all of our dishes from scratch using great raw ingredients. Not to mention our very own London Dry Gin distilled on site to our own unique recipe in the world’s first airport gin distillery."

For an airport restaurant, this place is fine. I took a chance with the curry it was a gamble because we were scheduled to fly out the next morning and it turned out pretty well. There were lots of vegetables and the curry wasn’t overly spicy. My only complaint was that the rice was dry. My wife and 6 year old daughter shared a fish and chips. They also had an ice cream together. Considering it is essentially the only choice in the north terminal for a sit down meal, it is actually a decent place.
We visited here for breakfast before our flight. The restaurant was quite busy. Our server David was really nice and made sure we had everything we needed. The food and drink was received quickly and was of good quality. We will visit here again when in the North Terminal.
The music is actually quite good to my taste. The food presentation and taste was good. The service around clearing the tables was great. The syaff were very pleasant abd helpful. What wasn't so good was. The food all comes at once when you order so the main breakfast would get cold when having a muesli prior to a hot breakfast. The tea and coffee takes far too long to accompany a breakfast qs the bar isnt aligned with the kitchen. They are separated in prioritisation so nit a great experience. As a customer you dont get a while service as the staff do not manage a table and your progress through the course so in effect it is hit and miss depending in which member of staff spots you. So it doesn't work as table service nor as self service it is a bd hybrid and this pulls the overall scpre down. The team needs to be structured in a different way so they are more centres around the customer and the table rather than their operational efficiency or inefficiency. It is good I would eat here again. The team are hardworking pleasant and well trained. They need support on the organisational and leadership side putting the customer experience first.
The 'hot' chicken wings were barely spicy and the so called butter chicken curry was definitely not butter chicken and more like a cheap ready made curry one buys from the supermarket. That doesn't mean the other dishes are no good, but what I had was disappointing especially for the price £30 for two courses and a drink.
Quite good despite being in an airport. Pretty full of people but the waitress found me a nice quiet table. Fish and chips alright and the brownie was good, although I'd prefer it with icecream and not mascarpone.
Lively place in the heart of Gatwick Airport. The staff members are dope, extremely friendly yet professional. The ambiance laced with lights caught my attention and their bespoke distilled gin is great.
Mediocre airport food is the best description. Not bad but not good either. Chewy croutons on the Caesar salad, the tiniest pot of mushy peas the world has even seen with the fish and chips, cracked coffee cups. Won’t rush back.
Absolutely fantastic customer service, got lots of great information and they make their own gin in house! Very knowledgeable staff in particular Tom and Darren! Taking time to talk to their customers una busy airport environment. Many thanks, and will return next time I’m at Gatwick
Have to ask for someone to wipe table after the previous customer; the relatively expensive flat white was made very hot, with no foam resembling a flat white, and with coffee leaked all out of the cup, soaking the sugar. Waited 30 minutes for the food, which turned out to have been sent to the wrong table. They brought it back, and then it turned out they made the wrong dish, so had to wait another 20 minutes for the right one to be made. Disappointing doesn't begin to describe it.
We visited at a reasonably quiet time, staying in a nearby hotel but wanting something a little better than what was on offer there. We didn’t get it. We sat upstairs and the waitress, though friendly, seemed totally overwhelmed by the number of tables she had. She provided an allergy menu when asked I’m gluten free and I had to agree to some waiver. I’ve never had this before but I understand the necessity. There were some options I hadn’t expected after reading the standard menu. I settled on the fish pie. My partner had the chicken burger. When it arrived which was in an adequate amount of time my steamed veg were stone cold and yet tasted strangely burnt. My fish pie which is usually served at the temperature of the sun! was luke warm, at best. My partner said his chicken burger was hot but tasted like the chicken had been fried twice and lacked any flavour. I considered sending back the pie just to ensure it was hot enough but the waitress still seemed too flustered to bother. Have to admit it was flavoursome. We also watched the table next to us wait a long time for their starters then merely minutes after they arrived had the waitress present them with their mains. Which the said they clearly weren’t ready for yet. It wasn’t the worst dining experience of my life, but I certainly wouldn’t recommend it for the price.
