We enjoyed our trip at the zoo today. We took our own lunch but I looked at cafe prices and thought they were very reasonable for anyone looking to purchase food on site. The range of animals isn't extensive but what they have, they present well. Talks were regular and informative. We enjoyed learning sign language for various animals at the zoo too.

Just a brilliant zoo. Lots of mammals and birds. Tons to see for its size. Animals feeding and talks were informative and fun. We took a 5 yr old and a 3 yr old. Lots to do and lots of parks to play in as well. Parking does cost though.

Four and a half stars would be accurate, but they make the best of what they have. The zoo is small compared to some, but is rightly popular. The selection of animals isn't extensive, but we enjoyed what there was. There are plenty of information points to learn about the animals and the areas are themed. In the winter the catering points are limited to the small café, which was alright. We enjoyed the penguin feeding time, but the lions feeding was ruined by the PA commentary, very local radio DJ. Some areas need a clean and a lick of paint and the Japanese area seemed empty? But we will return.

An educational zoo with a lot of animals. Most animals seemed happy, but the lion enclosure was too tiny for my liking. A huge plus for me was the zoo introducing British sign language plaques with the animal names on! A good day out for the family

Nice little zoo, only takes around 3-4 hours to get around but the talks at feeding time are really good, especially if you get Alex doing them! Nice and clean as well, with a nice little play area for the children
