What a beautiful place that truly inspires. This sanctuary truly looks after these beautiful fluffy donkeys. Visiting here you’ll be moved by what this sanctuary has done for these donkeys and the lengths they have gone to take care of them. Definitely pay them a visit and donate what you can to support the great work they are doing
What a little gem!!! We are on holiday from Kent and this place isn't advertised in all the big tourist brochures or websites, but I'm glad I stumbled across this on Google maps, out of season but still open and very friendly and warming. Lovely little cafe vegan friendly great way to spend a few hours. Free to enter but well worth a nice donation. If we ever come back to Cornwall we will be sure to pop by again.
Amazing place to visit with our family .So helpful everyone, with a super cafe ,dog also allowed, and the stars are so well looked after, ,you feel the freedom and everything is so clean.Very fine experience Thanks Adrian
Since finding the flicka foundation, I will and have visited every time I come to Cornwall free entry but donations welcome, beautiful little gift shop and tea room. Go along and support the donkeys!
Absolutely beautiful afternoon at the Flicka Foundation the donkeys are just so well cared for, the volunteers are super friendly and so caring with plenty of time to talk... There's also a delightful tea rooms with plenty to choose from I highly recommend that chocolate cake also a charming gift shop and bookstore..
What a lovely little place. They had over 99 donkeys along with horses too. We spent about 2 hours visiting here and stopped in the cafe and gift shop too. It is a completely vegan cafe, the cakes were the best bit. We took our dog with us and he also enjoyed seeing all the donkeys. It really is a lovely place to take your children our daughter had a great time.
All the staff are lovely. Large grounds for the donkeys. Lovely vegan cafe
We love this sanctuary! Such a nice relaxing environment where you can enjoy time with donkeys, have a bray'k relaxing with a coffee and great tasting home made cake or hot food in the Vegan Tea Bray'k coffee shop. A place we enjoy visiting often and you can even get to say hi and stroke the donkeys! Staff are always friendly and pleased to welcome you. Its also free to enter, donations welcomed and have a great gift shop too.
Had a fab afternoon at the sanctuary. We saw so many donkeys and they’re all absolutely beautiful and so friendly. They let us interact with them and stroke them which was very lovely. The staff were so friendly and happy to chat about all things donkey related. Even finding out where Bertie was so we could go and see him : will definitely come back as I live in the area and it was such a lovely day
We had an absolutely amazing time at Flicka Donkey Sanctuary. They have lots of information about donkeys and those at their sanctuary. When we visited they had 99 donkeys on site, along with horses and ponies to see as well. The donkeys were drawn to our dog and just so fascinated by him, they weren't nervous or scared, even when he had a little woof. The donkeys loved a good scratch and petting too. The staff at the sanctuary were lovely, helpful and full of information about the donkeys and the sanctuary's history. There's a lovely vegan cafe on site as well as a gift shop to make donations to support the work of the sanctuary. We will definitely become regular visitors, and I cannot recommend visiting enough.
