Me and my family went and tbh the aquarium was nice but small. We went in to kill a few hours and it didn’t take that long to go around the aquarium and for the price you pay it wasn’t 100%worth it. However if you have kids and since you can go back in during the day as they stamp your hand if you are on the beach and want to keep going in and out then it’s not that bad and I think the money would be worth it.nnI just didn’t think it was worth it for me but the staff and everyone was nice. We went in May and it wasnt that hot to sit on the beach and then go back in to the aquarium but if it’s warmer then I would the recommended.nnThe animals are cute however some of the tanks look a bit small but the animals seem happy.nnBut it was good and the fish were cute so I did enjoy it 3/5nnI’d also just like to add for anyone with mobility issues there is steps and stuff in the aquarium and I didn’t see a lift. It’s also located right next to a massive hill and you can’t park on the hill you have to park in Newquay and walk down. So just keep that in mind there’s also not a lot of seating near the aquarium.
Had a lovely visit. A reasonable admission price. Have your hand stamped on arrival so you can come and go all day as you please. Lots of talks and feeding taking place throughout the day, with very knowledgeable staff.
Nice place to visit, reasonable price I think considering the upkeep. Plenty to see.nStaff were friendly and knowledgeable.nI do find it weird that there is no advantage in buying online as you still need to queue at the ticket office.
The Newquay Aquarium has a nice range of fish and sea creatures, and it features an impressive-sized pool that you can look down into from the upper floor. The small sharks and the massive turtle are gorgeous. They also hold talks throughout the day.nHowever, for the price, I expected more. At £16.50, I feel it's quite expensive considering how small it is. I think £10.00 would be more appropriate. That said, I am aware that they need to cover the costs of caring for all the wonderful fish and sea creatures.
An absolutely amazing wee aquarium! They have lots of different sea creatures that I’d never seen in real life before. They have a rescued turtle, sharks and crocs! Starfish, clown fish, crabs, coral, lots of unique species! Definitely worth a visit. Friendly staff, not lots of room to move about so maybe plan a visit during a quieter time of the year!
