Visited the exhibit of ‘The Legend of King Arthur: A Pre-Raphaelite Love Story’. I had always wanted to see The Lady of Shalott in person. I visited Tate a while ago but it was being exhibited elsewhere at the time. Now it’s exhibiting in Falmouth and it was just great to see. Such a great exhibit overall. Displayed well and with a shop.
I went with a friend to see the King Arthur exhibition. We both had a great time the exhibition was well put together and including not only wo detail paintings by famous artists but some more light hearted exhibits such as the machine that showed the story of the lady of Shallot with animated figures. Also, despite our age we dressed up as medieval ladies and had our photos taken ! Great day...

First visit to this Gallery, for the excellent Pre-Raphaelite exhibition. Staff helpful. Especially interesting to see a 'study' of one painting adjacent to the completed painting. This gallery was a superb place to visit, where me and my family came in through a grand entrance before going up wide steps that go both left and right. The staff were really friendly and helpful, answering any questions we had about the gallery and its content. There is an applaudable variety on display, including both paintings and models that I mostly appreciated for showcasing the sea in older days!
A small FREE gallery but I found the exhibition on automata fascinating. I admire the exhibitors most of whom are local to Falmouth for allowing some of the exhibits to be played with most people are careful but I was concerned about the child who was seeing how fast he could turn the handle - why wasn't the parent explaining that for everyone to enjoy these exhibits, we most all be respectful and careful not to break them. Beautiful, detailed work - often very complex scenes - as well as larger models/automata. Activities for children everyone, probably to try. Show your support for this small free gallery as we were told that the council needs to see that it is worth keeping it open by the number of visitors it attracts.

A small but always interesting art gallery. They also often have really great exhibitions. Free entry too!
