Some of the reviews on here seem to cover the harbour or the whole of Charlestown. The Shipwreck museum itself is a fairly modest affair - about an hour's worth of indoor exhibits. There are some fascinating things here, but it's very dry and old fashioned in presentation. If you like your museums crammed full of maritime curios, this is the place for you, but there is limited entertainment value for children and the pricing is steep for what's here.

Bigger than it looks and lots to see inside. A good space for my toddler to run around in without causing any damage. Dogs allowed in too. Great for a rainy day.

The most iconic little harbour you'll ever see. The scenery is just beautiful amd you can walk along the cliffs for a long time when the tide is low. The water also is amazingly blue, so pretty to see. There are ships in the old harbour to look at, it's sort of a museum.

So historic and I loved the Poldark exhibition. The place is wheelchair friendly although some parts are a bit steep. I suggest going on a sunny day and bring a picnic for a fabulous day out with the family.

Difficult to get in as the roadway is appalling and full of potholes. The exhibits were good though it didn't rock my boat. The cafe looked abandoned so we gave that a miss.
