I really liked this pub. The pie I had was great. It has that local pub feel and noise to it. You know the noise, the one of people laughing with friends and family from the village. It makes it a real pub. And not unwelcoming either, actually they were really welcoming, chatty and kind. I think the veg with the pie could have been a bit less cooked, but that's only a tiny critique. Otherwise, I could see myself growing old in this pub with good friends, food and ciders.
Lively little pub with awesome food, nice little beer garden and and a great team. Be warned, the food is so nice its hard not to over eat, so skip lunch if your visiting for dinner
We're going back there asap. Really pleasant experience, excellent service. Quintessential British village pub serving home made food. OK been back a few times for midweek lunch since. Just had a really wonderful family Sunday lunch 10 persons as a belated mother's Day celebration, post restrictions; what a dream afternoon with the friendly staff and villagers & excellent food. Well pleased and highly recommended. Sun shining, what a terrific very English afternoon in the beer garden, July 2022.
Fantastic food very well presented, friendly staff and great price. Would definitely go again when we are in the area. Very jealous of the local who can visit whenever they like. If your looking for proper Home cooked food this is the place to go. Great dessert if you have room. Thanks From the Wells from Cornwall.
Stopped here around lunchtime for a quick bite to eat with the family. We sat outside and there was plenty of space, greeted and served our drinks very quickly. Freshly cooked food followed shortly afterwards. I thought that the chips were especially good and the others enjoyed their Ploughman's. Will visit again.

Called in today, because I was recommended this pub last night at my Local pub, and was told good food, they weren't wrong! I brought my Mother here for a quiet Lunch out, in memory of my Aunt, as they both used to go out for lunch together and my Aunt would have appreciated the fantastic service, wonderful old countryside pub atmosphere, and proper pub grub in good portion serving, you won't be disappointed. Thank you for the friendly, fast and knowledgeable service, we will be back again, especially as I didn't have room to try a dessert!
Highly recommend this pub for a nice meal. Their vegetarian chilli was delicious! The staff were very accommodating of my egg allergy, double checking that the dish was egg-free. Great atmosphere, very welcoming to both locals and visitors.
What a gem. Excellent food, attentive service and a friendly reception. Pies are so good and l recommend the seafood pancakes. Best sticky toffee pudding l have ever eaten.
Delicious food and excellent service. The Sunday lunch is generous and very much to be recommended. A friendly pub with a lovely beer garden. Great for a stop off the motorway!
