Just stopped for coffee but soon decided to have lunch too. Stunning location not far from Crummock Water. It was a lovely day so we took a table outside, which was I'm the sun and sheltered from the wind. 

Soup and sandwiches were the order of the day, all fresh produce and beautifully prepared. Certainly recommended if you are passing.

Used the venue for our wedding: faultless from start to finish, very well set up for all aspects of the celebration. Luxurious accommodation, great choices for breakfast, atmospheric and flexible venue space in the barn for the ceremony, meal and party, and the use of downstairs area in cold weather was very well thought out. Hazel is an excellent host.

This is a little gem of a place in the unspoilt valley of Loweswater. The tables in the tea rooms dwell within their original byre stalls. The unique character of the place is matched by their special Cumbrian afternoon teas - all home baked and or cooked too.

The adjoining guest house, is also of the very highest standard. I've been a regular at this local, family-run business, for decades.

The staff here are amazing. Friendly and thoughtful, they will go the extra metre without thinking. With three lakes near-by, and the views are awsome for Weddings.
